Y'know, I think I understand why Tea keeps saying the game reminds him of Megaman. It's the jumps, isn't it? The Knight moves upward at a constant speed as long as you hold the jump button (up to the maximum), then reverses direction and descends at roughly the same speed. If you charted his position over time, it'd look almost like a sawtooth, instead of a parabola. Megaman's jumps work the same way, if I'm not mistaken.

I do remember having a hard time going back to Hollow Knight after playing the Ori games for a while -- that game is a lot "floatier".

I'm going to chime in and point out that if you want the lore and story information from a game, but you find the game too difficult, you do have the option of looking it up. Hollow Knight has a wiki and there's dozens of lore videos on Youtube. Or, y'know, you could watch a Let's Play. You might argue that that's not the same as playing through it and making the discoveries for yourself. And you'd be right. But the claim that the game's story, etc. is "locked away" behind a competency barrier isn't really true.
