I feel like the actual story behind "pumpkin in bathtub went bad" was they didn't shower for six months.

People make faces when they get their picture taken. It's a very, very, normal thing.

Woodworking is a very satisfying, meditative, and useful skill! I highly recommend it. I've made two chicken coops, a bench, shelves, a (terrible) violin, birdhouses... it's a good time.

That was a pretty solid bit.

I'm sure if they did it every week it would just turn into "orange man bad" quality jokes, but drat if them ripping Ted Cruz to shreds isn't really funny.

Well, that sucks. Payday loan sharks are scum of the earth.

I'm not sure I've ever met someone who likes SNL. Or at least, if they did, they never brought it up.

That was a cute little swan song. Whole lotta burn out on display this episode!

It's rape, yea, and if you have a cat we hope you...die? Yea that's the ticket, we're going to kill you for having a cat.'

And people have largely caught on to PETA, so now it's Extinction Rebellion's turn! Oh people have caught on already? oh

Or they could stop doing one of their 75 other less popular projects to help facilitate making their big money maker easier!

Not saying they should do that, but it seems like a no brainer to me.

That made me think, why don't they bring on Clint to cover for Griffin on MBMBAM? That'd be fun. Has he ever done an episode?

Obviously Worthikids' "Captain Yajima" got picked up by Cartoon Network and those two are writing for it, yup, that's what happened.

Listened to the new TAZ prologue. That was rather all over the place, and I still don't really... get the premise? I'm sure they'll hash it out more later. Certainly seems like a fun game to play, though. Collaborative world building, what fun! Get those creative juices flowing!

Clint picks to kill his self insert, Griffin says it costs a week of progress anyway! Harsh. Weird prompt for a game designed to not make characters, too.

Yeah Munch Squad is pretty annoying. I did quite like the Sneeze vs Other Air Escaping discussion, though.

Yeah I'm picturing like two years from now, during the finale, our heroes are about to lose, only to be saved by the psychic soldiers.

"We got 20,000 new people to give us money, which is not quite the amount we wanted" does not sound like a decline to me. It sounds like downright lucky given the world's situation. I do wonder how big a drop off there is, I assume there must be a lot of people who got all their goodies/listened to what they wanted and then stop their subscription.

Someone in this thread once mentioned Munch Squad should be its own podcast, I think that's a good idea.

You'd think after they got burned bad by those stupid Bean Juice mugs they'd know not to egg each other on about actually going through with making terrible merchandise.

"It's funny because it sucks!" Sure, I guess. But, as you said, it sucks. So I'm not going to buy it.

The Besties is a pretty weird podcast, to be honest. Justin and Griffin say "I don't really have time for video games much anymore" every week, Russ rarely has much to say, so that just leaves Chris, who wants to have deeper conversations about games but his co-hosts absolutely do not meet him on that level, so he just kinda flounders around. Very weird vibes.

Like, I don’t listen to that podcast anymore either (although my initial impetus might have been quite different from yours) but I can’t really blame them if it’s been creatively back-burnered

Justin isn’t medically savvy in the way that S is. They’d have to like hire somebody to help write or showrun/research/script/fact-check, and that’s probably too much outlay for Sawbones relative to something like TAZ.

Although they could probably find a med/grad student to pay for a couple hours of part-time/do it for free.

Oh, totally, I don't blame them or anything. All very valid reasons! Should probably take a break from doing it, really.
