I was walking through my neighborhood a couple weeks ago, thought I saw a wild turkey eating street trash from a distance. Now these birds have the reputation of being very stupid and very aggressive, and maybe that isn't fair, but I kinda kept my eye on it. And wouldn't you know, it wasn't a turkey at all, but a turkey vulture, pecking the guts out of a dead squirrel that had been hit by a car. He sorta eyed me, hopped away, beak clamped on a strand of intestine still sticking out of the rodent like a gray shoelace. Anyway, that was kinda cool-gross, and I love birds, even turkey vultures. They have a job to do and they do it well. Literally Bird me up. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)
