If Chauvin walked there would be more real pressure for actual change. The cops are testifying because they know if they don't cool things down and toss out this one guy they will make things worse for themselves.

I'm more saying don't celebrate the cops because they're not doing anything good. Chauvin going to jail is still a net positive.

However, the cop had literally a handful of seconds to deal with the entire situation as soon as he pulled up. Uhhh yeah, that would be better.
