Just him, Daed, and the lumbering shape off in the distance. Now, Patrick could only watch as the streets of Ventiville were flooded with refugees from Confluxx and Tumblebones. And they were the lucky ones. There was no telling how many had perished in the latest attack. Pipsqueak, the new settlement in the recently-formed mountains, had been destroyed utterly. When it was time to move out, Patrick sat in the passenger seat as Daed took his vehicle out onto the water. They were getting close to the DIE's current location.
