Still upset I didn't go. I was living in Maine at the time! That was just before I really got into them... So I decided to go to Coventry instead. :smith:

I mean, this is one of the ultimate versions of the song from its early conception. The album didn't come out until late '98.

I saw Trey band last year and they added it to their repertoire, I was skeptical at first but drat if he didn't shred it on a Wednesday night in VA with the side project

Also listened to it again. The space funk groove from around 5 mins to 10 mins in the Tweezer opener is so great. Fishman is totally locked in, and Trey and Page are dialed into that sweet spot where it's hard to tell them apart when Page is playing high on the clav and Trey is on the wah. This is what 97-00 Phish 's all about

Currently listening to 11/27/98 which is another beast. End of Ya Mar has a very 98 ambient jam

I just finished streaming last nights show after getting home from a ten hour work shift on NYE babysitting drunks, and it completely saved my to-that-point kinda crappy night.

I thought it crushed! as nice as it would have been to be able to be there, watching it from bed instead of navigating / paying to get to NYC was a lot less of a headache.

Shout-out to the goon username above me, I got to play IIDX Resident and see Phish in the same week!

We only went 28/29 and left very satisfied. We have been seeing the band since 2003 and the song selection and playing was awesome. We haven't been to MSG since 2017, it was cool to see and eat the city again too. Had soup dumplings, pizza, lots more all walking from the venue. There was a new bar across the street that had heaters on the roof and $8 Sip of Sunshines, we never made it to Stout (the usual pre Phish party spot).

Tickets for four weren't secured until day of, we got 209s together for less than face on 28 and great behind the stage seats for face on the 29th. My wife got Uno carded for the 100th time during the trampolines because she's always doing it the right way, it's a pretty cool one too:

https://imgur.com/gallery/59zUYnz

This run sounded a lot better than the April Earth Day shows to me, maybe attendance bias but I couldn't ask for more on 28/29. I thought they were gonna walk off the stage after Stash N1 S1.

We did Mann, MPP, Walnut Creek last summer and it was lots of fun but indoor Phish is really the best Phish. Nothing like the lights going down, or the building shaking during Tube. I loved Trey holding that big note at the end of the Tube jam.

Gag looks awesome, whenever my MegaUpload download comes through I'm excited to check it out. We heard some pieces on Sirius just now but you always gotta see the gag. That five song set on 12/30 was great (listened driving on Sirius), No Man's and the set 2 new song closer really start hitting.

It was us and two good friends for both nights, my 100+ show buddy got lost with a dead phone after night 1 and then reappeared out of an alley in Newark on us an hour later. That's the magic of NYC baby. He also had a beer in his hand that made it through his train ride.

Did not stand in line for hours for a Pollock print, had a friend grab me an awesome one from Phan Art on 12/30 after we left town. That's always a good time at NUe/Halloween or any big venue run, sucks it was the day we left town.

Yay Phish! The Phish.net front page setlist has a good written description of the gag last night.

Summer tour dates are live: https://phish.com/news/summer-tour-2023-announced/

Disappointed they are doing the "amphitheater" in Wilmington. Big step down from Walnut Creek in my opinion, and it's a Tuesday/Wednesday, but a good excuse to spend a week at the beach this summer.

My brother has been getting me into Gizzard these last few months after he went with me to a Phish show. Now I'm disappointed that YouTube kept trying to steer me towards Goose when these Lizard Wizards are a way more interesting evolution of jam. Check out The Dripping Tap if you haven't already.

I hope you have good seats! SPAC is an amazing venue if you can get into the pavilion but the lawn section isn’t the greatest.

Not a bad first show...

Only PYITE of the summer in set 1, yeah? The new lights were awesome for it.

Set 2 jams and Chalkdust closer were awesome. Wave of Hope is crushing it this year.

Also I've been to the SPAC lawn like 12+ times, and I had tons of fun

I’ve lawned at SPAC for a lot of shows, I’m not too worried about it. I wish I could’ve swapped my tickets for kidz bop (like, fifth row with my 7yo) and this (lawn solo) though

Got tonight lawn and GnR lawn on Friday. Hoping for a mosh pit somewhere in there

Double post but lawn was great. Wolf man whatever song 2 really got me jazzed between the vibe & the light show. Everything was sick into set 2 and then they’re playing 2001 and the entire place is vining and

I see why people idolize this band

I don't think it's a retirement thing, however who knows if we'll get another Phish fest in 5 years.

I read they partnered with AEG who puts on Firefly, so it makes sense they'd just use their own festival grounds and infrastructure.
