anyone else remember the Richmond race in the IR-05 where first and second ran side by side for like a dozen laps because there was literally no development left and they were just running flat out lap after lap an no, we're never going to see another track record at Indy

I think it would have been ideal. it was in an awful location, there was absolutely nothing developed around it and by the time it was repaved in the 1990s the track facilities were pretty obsolete.
