For reference Wyoming has a 60-member HoR and a 30-member Senate. Adding seats would probably make the transition to statehood take longer though.

Support for statehood is practically a prerequisite for getting elected in DC, which is a notable contrast to Puerto Rico where statehood is the main issue dividing the parties.
