We are finally moving away from Access for patient data and reports! Yaaaayyy! Also, we're finally in a position to code and import the information we've been requesting but couldn't do anything with because our Access database was 20 years old so something dumb like that. More work for me. Booooo! However, this includes information about SAAB (previously 'Gender', per Federal requirements), Orientation, and Identity - both myself and the data project lead are very very happy now. Yaaaaay! (Feds didn't even begin requiring that info until a couple of years ago and if they aren't requiring it, then we can't include it in reports.) There was also a nigh-complete re-vamp of what codes we use, which means that I not only have additional information that needs to be coded, many of the codes I used to enter by rote are now different. Fuuuuuuck. I have been doing nothing but data since last Tuesday and I haven't even started importing to the new database yet. God damnit. And we keep getting new versions of the new database from ITD, too. *sigh* Everywhere, everyone is red and green |
