1. No. Absolutely no point in doing so this early especially if we can just... 2. Yes. ...do this. 3. Yes, but modify: settle on the better ones. Let us not repeat the mistakes of our ancestors and try to grow wheat in some icy hellhole. 4. Yes. IMO the early game exploration is by far one of the most entertaining parts of any Stellaris run. Also look at all the fun poo poo we found already. Do we want the capitalists to get it first so that they could exploit it for their own ends? Surely not! 5. Eh? Depends, what does our homeworld look like?
