Yeah no my team that's been rolling its way to the national title suddenly has a big issue with Furman sure that makes sense

Rubber-banding is kind of the opposite of what they're describing here.

Yeah if this feature just ends rubber banding and that's it 100% endorsed I love it best addition to Madden in years.

I swear Madden is intentionally designed so that 70% of the time your player ratings do. not. matter.

Football Pro 95 was the best game I’ve ever played. I played that game constantly and the sims were so fun to watch that I’d plan my day around watching certain match ups. Over time I changed the names and uniforms of almost every team in the league and had created tons of custom plays for the various teams. The amount of control you had in that game was amazing. Scott Frost and Danny Wuerfell ended up owning ever possible record, it was great.

Edit: in the sake of disclosure, I’ve only played a few games.

I swear I remember having a DOS football game in the early 90s where the players were monsters and there were hazards on the field and stuff. It feels like it should be Mutant League Football, but apparently that was on Genesis and PSP, neither of which I ever had. This was a DOS game, complete with "DRM" in the form of trivia questions that could only be answered if you had the manual. I feel like I remember flying eyeballs with bat wings being prominent? I'm looking at screenshots of Blood Bowl from 1995 and Brutal Sports Football from 1993 and I don't think it's either of those.

I miss the NFL Street series, NFL Street 2 was arcade football perfection, minus Gamebreakers 2.

I also am looking for a football franchise management sim. I used to do the full 30 year franchise modes on Madden 04 and 05 on PC, simming every game except when I felt like I had built a fun enough team to play. I got really into Football Manager 2014 for awhile but Soccer just never interested me as much.

Retro Bowl is fun until you learn exactly what to look for pre-snap to gain a first down everytime. I find myself just trading off my entire team every 5 years or switching teams just to get some challenge going again, even on Dynamic 16.

Mutant League Football kicked rear end. We were a Nintendo household and that was one of the few games that made me jealous of friends with a Genesis. It was just so over the top batshit insane, it was great. Straight up murdering the refs features prominently in the strategy, for example.

Considering how terrible madden is, the college game is going to be on a level never before conceivable for bad.

They're going to create as thinly veiled a microtransaction casino as they can, but more teams and variance means it might actually be only as lovely as Madden, not somehow worse.

Bringing back anything that doesn't pretend NCAA Football isn't the paragon of morality is too brave for these capitalist pigs to implement.

DLC will be for purchasing NIL rights to individual players to be in the game.

Watching the ol fumble dimension where they played madden head coach 09 and while they were trying to pick the one play they were going to run all season they mentioned how routes are all broken except wr screens which never work. Well look at that screen plays are still broken as gently caress to this day.

Also I'm not sure I 'get' the RPO plays because if I ever try pass I get an ineligible downfield every time.

Madden Mobile has always been like that I thought? I tried it once like 2 years ago and the final two challenges to win a pack were literally unwinnable unless you has already bought some packs and had better players.

I do not wear this mask to protect me. I wear it to protect you from me.

But it's far worse this year. First promo couldn't be played unless you beat stage 5 of a different series. I'm stuck on stage three because it requires that you level up three players 15 levels. Each level requires coins, training points and trophies and the requirements get steeper as you go.

All of those are doled out slowly in events that are stamina hungry and time consuming. I've got one player up to 14 and two more at ten and up to now I've been playing regularly. To clear this level I need five guys at level 25. That's level three out of five.
