To be fair it would be pretty difficult to fly across much of the US without flying in proximity to sensitive military sites. They are literally everywhere.

The thing that doesn't make sense to me if these objects are actually extraterrestrial is that their flight behavior doesn't seem at all to match the volume of incident descriptions with incredible maneuvers and speeds. Basically untouchable.

But these are just floating along at low speed and just sitting ducks for a missile.

So if they were to be alien, what's the explanation? Malfunctioning craft, or some new type we never noticed before?

Different cultures are going to filter their observations of unexplained phenomena through whatever popular lens they have. Scandinavians probably have high reports of gnome sightings compared to the rest of the world, for example.

Nope.

They aren't clay made pottery but stone vases that are carved to a level of precision that is impossible to do by hand, precision half the width of a human hair. The way everything lines up in relation to the rest is just as precise. It would be impossible to get that level of precision by hand. There are examples that have been held up where I would agree with you where it is something incredibly hard to carve by hand but with enough time someone could do, but this one I am talking about it's the precision that is the striking feature and all the time in the world isn't going to ever let you get that accurate by hand.

This video is a great summary of the findings, which I understand some people will automatically dismiss because it is Joe Rogan:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uJ_eQ9iDIc

But this is a much longer video with the guys who scanned it going over the results in detail:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAyQQRNoQaE

And the actual results of the scan are here:

https://unchartedx.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/VASE-REPORT-INCHES.pdf

This seems like one of those "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" things where you can make a really compelling case to the average person but still be wrong. I have not watched the videos.

I mean if you know of a way to carve granite to within a thousandth of an inch precision on curved surfaces and with everything aligned to the same degree in relation to each other using the tools we know to be available 5,000 years ago you should let everybody know because that would be a really big deal.

I don't know the first thing about that! And that's why it's easy to make a case to me that it's impossible.

Honestly I don't find that statement particularly weird. I'm willing to bet the air force is feeding them the same mysterious "could be anything!" lines, which you can easily interpret as something weird happening or "we hosed up really bad and we're desperately trying not to tell the adults how badly we hosed up."

Either way, it's going to give the impression that there's all this stuff up there and no one has any answers, which ends up looking like a big public issue even if the explanation is super mundane.

It's the "They're ready for it. They can handle it." part that seems weird to me, like he's addressing the idea that the truth could cause mass confusion or panic. It doesn't seem like something you need to say if you're just annoyed that they're being slow to release findings or tightlipped about security secrets.
