i think the annoying thing for me is how people react like Max just hammered a button inside their brain to start an emergency sequence because of the structure/wording of one of the lines rather than just trying to take in the whole character/performance/tone/target i can even see the valentine's line like it's more kinda homophobic adjacent while also being about toxic masculinity and it's emotional shortcomings as well, because Mox/Kingston embody those characters who would be all weird expressing emotion towards each other, like love. look at all the bizarre poo poo they've worked out on camera already during their feuds, lmao i don't know, if Max identified explicitly as queer it may sew the the whole thing together in a way people can square, but as someone who's working through sexuality/gender issues and wary of taking on labels because of their obligations and entanglements, i can kinda see where he's at there too. life be messy

i love the tone they set for Pinnacle with that promo, that kinda there will be blood/american psycho "the wealthy are loving insane and brutish monsters beneath a civil veneer" tone, i hope they explore the poo poo out of it

the few precious seconds Ogogo vs Gunn moved around the ring i was pleasantly surprised to see Ogogo drop into a boxing stance a couple times and try to throw punches, i think they're going to lean on the Balrog from street fighter thing a bit which would be cool

i think he was legit not cleared and it was just never talked about, he said he hadn't wrestled a singles match in 60 days and had to start bumping again, but i never heard a whisper of injury? maybe he just aggravated something at a time where he couldn't afford to risk making it worse before B&G it seemed like nobody in Pinnacle or IC was doing much of anything before smarxist fucked around with this message at 18:08 on May 23, 2021 |

I think that's the problem really, I don't know why they fired off blood and guts so quickly after the pinnacle formed, it would have been way better if they had like 6 months of short rear end kicking feuds to establish themselves, then have IC try to settle business later The kayfabe reason none of them were wrestling is that IC was pulped by pinnacle and pinnacle pulped by IC in retaliation, i think a different blowoff with a hosed finish and then a 4-6 month build with tensions rising would have been a better blood and guts, since pinnacle would have been more than just potential I think they still made the most of it though, Sammy G starmaking performance, Max's first iconic moment, lots of great stuff
