The new front system sounds great. Has the NATO counters crowd already complained about the possible lack of NATO counters on the map?

POPs in V2 are most likely to turn fascist if their country's cores are owned by a foreign power. If you want to become fascist you have to lose some wars, I guess.

Sounds like it should be possible to mod that in since there are already multiple professions working in the same work place iirc. I'm sure as hell not going to play this mod though. It reminds me of those HoI4 mods that break down stuff like infantry equipment to boots and uniforms and it becomes a nightmare to balance production across a dozen different items just to fill out some infantry divisions. I wouldn't enjoy checking the factories across all of Russia if each one has enough cleaning personnel.

I’ll recreate the one time in Victoria 1 where I played as the Habsburg Empire, stationed an infantry regiment in every province and refused to do any reforms while I mass-industrialised the country. Millions of liberals and socialists died rising up against the entrenched army but the empire never fell.

Not having little soldier men to click around will lead to fewer people moan about NATO counters so that’s a win

In my Russian Empire -> Russian Republic -> Soviet Union game I noticed large numbers of Dixie POPs in Ukraine. Turns out the US managed to peacefully end slavery, which must have led to an enormous emigration wave for Dixie POPs. The Afro-American POPs are doing quite well now! game good

I ended so many V2 campaigns when war broke out because I just couldn’t deal with ordering my stacks around. Good riddance.

I’d like to have a chemical plant that can produce 100 units and can produce any combination of fertilizer and explosives that adds up to 100. So in war the economy retools because there is more demand for explosives, instead of having chemical plants that poo poo out explosives nobody uses in peacetime only to go bankrupt.

In one game I had the Free States of America spawn, covering the Deep South to New York. The US kept DC, New England, Michigan and everything West of the Mississippi. The dispute was over migration controls -- the Free States wanted no immigrants whatsoever. Eventually the US switched to migration controls too. Starved of migrants, neither the US nor the FS ever took off, so in the late game I invaded to free New Africa, New England, the Cherokee and the Confederate States of America for the maximum number of Americas lmao

My favourite US game was when I caught the Ripper in 1840. Turned out it was the leader of the Southern Planters! With their popularity in the toilet I abolished slavery and drove them out of politics within a few years lmao I think Andrew Jackson had a change of heart and became an abolitionist too around the same time so the landowners were on their own. chadbear fucked around with this message at 18:43 on Aug 30, 2023 |

I wish the output ratios weren’t fixed. I wouldn’t mind a single lumber camp that adjusts its output ratio depending on whether hard or soft wood is more in demand.
