qirex posted:my favorite trance mixes tend to have some breaks or house or acid or other kind of genre with more funk to them. dj hardware is really good for this as well as john kelley [funkydesertbreaks series], taylor, the planet rampant series, etc. unless I'm working out there's not really a functional difference between listening to a psytrance mix or a compilation i got to remember to check these out thanks i don't listen to much psytrance these days, there was a cool lady dj i found through local shows (i just never went to the actual event) for example this one has a really nice blend of psytrance and techno kind of https://soundcloud.com/possessiontechno/possession-podcast-24-ida-engelhardt

you need to go to yospos' favorite site, ultrawizardsword.net every friday somebody slams down three to five hours of really well mixed electronic music here's my latest mix http://ultrawizardsword.net/s/slick-as-gently caress/ i start with a few tracks of palestinian rap, go into 40 mins of kpop (THE HARDEST THING TO MIX IN THE WORLD) and end it up with 2 hours of dnb. most of the talent does technoey 4/4 stuff though

Also if you're into video game music, a not very well known indie game called Master Spy has the most phenomenal soundtrack that stands on its own for high energy high focus work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8unsJEpX1ZE I've listened to this soundtrack maybe forty times, and the twice I looked at the Master Spy steam page I gave it a pass.
