royal rumble 2015 is a match so terrible that it manages to spin back around and become viscerally entertaining. everything about it is hilarious one of the absolute most fun times i ever had watching wrestling, just sitting there with friends all losing our minds at how loving TERRIBLE everything was.

i should qualify, i had lots of fun. its like when you watch the room for the first time and cant believe someone would make it. you can like something even though its bad, or even because its bad. theres nothing insincere about it. i truly love tat that match is a thing that exists and that i got to see it live if you want to be limited in your idea of what things are "the greatest matches youve ever seen" then theres always the kenny/okada series

it's not on youtube unfortunately but there's a shibata vs. goto match from like 2013 or something that's just them beating each other up basically for real for like 11 minutes. i lost my mind during it then and would again if i watched it again. it's as perfect that a match can get imo

Lesner just loving destroys Cena and Cena actually sells it so well 1000 suplexes, it looks so loving violent, german suplex one after the other, and brock smiling like a goddamn lunatic. if you haven't seen it, watch it. I love it

he got better and started putting people over a lot before he left. he also added the michinoku driver and the springboard stunner (but it looked bad) to his moves of doom. which was funny samoa joe vs kenta kobashi was also an absolute whipass match that never gets talked about enough imo
