I think the idea is that summer is usually quiet because parliament is on holiday and we should theoretically have better things to do with our lives than post.

I am sort of lucky/unlucky in that while I burn fairly easily I don't seem to burn badly. Also I tend to keep tans for months and pick them up very easily.

I rarely go out without sunblock or covering though so it's fairly academic.

I really want like, a summer cloak or something made of thin material just to add some shade when I am out. Muslin or calico or something.

Sorry I'm an idiot

You aren't an idiot, and while I don't know of any websites that will give you them answers or a one weird trick to feeling right about stuff, if you want to just post about what you're struggling with I am sure plenty of people will be willing to offer a view, if it would help to just talk about it.

I would at least say if your job is giving you so much grief you're having to take sick leave then a change of career might be needed, but unfortunately the only art related thing I know of that is apparently reliable is drawing porn for suspiciously wealthy furries and that takes a particular brain and constitution to do and also some of them are creepy.

Presumably not as difficult as going the other way because you don't need a flue which have all sorts of annoying rules about them now if the boiler isn't venting straight through the wall. Apparently people are "dying" of "carbon monoxide" because "large exhaust runs not accessible for inspection are unsafe" or whatever elf and safety gone mad it is.

I've just been trying to pay my childminder via the government website for the tax-free dealio. It got stuck in a loop of telling me I'd failed the 2FA (never sent me or asked for a code) and then instructed me to call the helpline. That page didn't have the helpline number on it, but I found it and spent ten minutes on hold before redoing security where the guy accessed my credit file and asked me loads of poo poo about my accounts. I passed that successfully, so now they are sending me an email, and when I receive that I need to call back and give them the code from my email and then they can reset my security, and I can pay my childminder. This email can take up to three days to arrive. It's worth noting that the account currently has over a thousand pounds of my money in it, which I have absolutely no access to and the guy confirmed I wouldn't be able to get at "even in an emergency."

I've heard people talking about the casual cruelty of the benefits system, but is it like this for everything? If you need it for food and rent and actual important stuff?

Benefits would be more like that plus the guy also keeps threatening to take all the money away permanently.

If you have long term symptoms I don't think the vaccine would do anything about that because otherwise you would also be long term positive for the disease, the long term symptoms as far as I understand are just... well it caused actual damage to you which takes an indefinite amount of time to heal, or which might not. I guess that's the sort of thing that will be better understood in the years and decades to come unfortunately :(

Huh.

I barely felt it when I went, and also it's like, the kind of pain that doesn't bother me anyway, sort of a superficial sting at the surface, not the sort of "oh god I'm hosed" kind of internal pain.

I don't know if the technique has changed but I don't think i would describe it as painful. If you can do sounding recreationally which almost made me black out I would be surprised if it's that bad :v:

That's the thing I'm into pain half the time, and I've got plenty of experience to compare it to, but this was truly "I will confess to shooting JFK if that makes this stop" tier. idk maybe they just hosed up because I've heard many people say it either doesn't hurt or it's a mild sting as you describe. (It did work though, all the warts vanished in short order)

That definitely sounds like a fuckup then because I had an entire toe covered in them and they froze the poo poo out of it and it didn't hurt any more than like, a rock in your shoe or something.

I dunno, I obviously can't tell you what to do but if they're bothering you it might be worth trying again, really not sure what they could have done to make it hurt that much but I can't imagine it's a routine thing.

So, surface level damage to skin: fine. Cystoscopy for urethral scarring: absolutely haram worst thing I have ever had happen to me in hospital and top five for worst things to happen to me full stop. Feels like someone turning your dick into shishkebab very slowly.
