For what it's worth I wasn't accusing you of downplaying, I was sort of half doing something else at the same time and my dog was being needy so it was a bit unfocused. I do wonder if a lot of the columnists propping up the gender critical mob would probably have very different opinions if they actually met a trans person and talked to them, and I don't mean on twitter. A lot of it is people who don't really know picking the side that seems more 'reasonable.'
