You could have held onto that tech prof core and built an android that has 1400% research speed.

Also I learned that I can put implants and bionics into androids to do some really silly stuff.
Cool, assemblers are neat!

As for that pawn with a brain injury, just slap something like a combat AI or the equivalent in there, or luciferum, or get a priest, or whatever else you're planning.

I made a trigger happy sniper pawn, it has a 1% aiming time, takes longer to cool down than it is to aim for most of the weapons.

Edit2: Your best bet for plasteel and other materials is to trade with the android cities. I forget if there's any on your map. Arcanium is plentifully mined with T3 pulse drills, or you could just summon meteors for materials to sell.

Edit3:

Maniacal Laughing

I set up 2 organ vats to grow hearts in Recycle Factory, keeps the one at Tunia free for organs I plan to use. Can't save a few lives without ending several more.

A massive Warg herd showed up and look at 'em go

Boom

Bang. Those mines took out a good chunk of 'em, I like it.

Now rotten bodies have been an issue, all I can do with them is turn them into fertilizer. But now that we can an enchanter with level 2 transmutation....

Viola! Don't worry, I'm sure it wont kill ya to eat! With this I can slowly convert rotten bodies into nutrient paste that I can then use at the refinery to turn into protein mash. Or I can turn human bodies into nutrient paste to be turned into mash and not have a "butchered humanlike" mood.

I can automate this a bit, there is a zone that is named "transmute" and anything we have in that zone designation will have a pawn with the transmute spell set to auto cast occasionally wander over to cast the spell. It is a pricey spell though, wont take long until Delilah runs out of MP.

Now this isn't just a picture of any ol' albatross. Oh no, this is Recycle Factory's very own Albatross! Now One can make trade runs without having to loan Tunia's albatross. It also gives me the option to make an escape if need be.

Up in space, I want to show off that you can "drill" for oil up there. You can also drill water wells if you are so inclined. So we can do some rimfeller stuff to keep our oil reserves going. We can RP it as a nearby comet with fuel in it.

Jesus everyone inviting their families or something? Also Senrath's ex lover, awkward.

Now there is more to an enchanter than turning rotten bodies into delicious food paste! The enchanter's stone abilities will let us take items, say this jade here...

And turn it into an accessory! These items can only be gotten this way. Though hrm, dunno if I can replicate them. I don't wanna turn the game back on right now to check.

Anyways, jade turns into a ring that'll have mages recover from arcane weakness faster. Each spell cast will give mages arcane weakness and it gets them more and more sick, they start throwing up and can even die from it. I guess its to balance mages from chain casting.

And it looks like Delilah will be the one who gets this one. I'll be tossing the other on Shorty.

Oh and before I forget, for each accessory made Delilah will have to lose some maximum MP as upkeep. I'll be pumping her with MP increasing stuff and points... once I run out of useful stuff to level up.

For fun I had Delilah transmute a stack of wood and it turned into some glass, neat. Reminds me how recently scientists figured out a way to make transparent wood.

I've done some research and learned how to make both yayo and flake from psycoid leaves, now I don't need to use the arcane forge. I keep a little pile of yayo for Sky and have the rest of the leaves turn into flake. Its worth less but you need less leaves per unit, so overall you come out ahead. I've plopped a S.A.L. robot on top of a drug lab to keep the flake coming as the leaves come in.

I head back to my favorite hostile city but this time we're gonna clean house. It may be difficult to make out underneath the weapons, cloaks and dusters but several of the gunner pawns have a thrumbo military fatigue shirt. It gives a little more defense than the regular shirts and gives some slight combat bonuses. Oh and I started handing out devilstrand cloaks just to get some color variety, cloaks don't give amazing armor anyway so I don't need to thrumbofur that as well.

I get the melee pawns on the wolves and have them head down south....

Meanwhile I get the rest to head through this building to get to that jackass on the mortar up top.

Dammit, thats like the second death now? Heretic and explosions don't mix. Or mix too well and cause a volatile reaction.

Yeah I'm enjoying using Jelly as a running shotgunner. I should find some satchel explosives to keep her with and do some real breaching.

I have Senrath punch through the wall and take out the battery for this turret. Since she is so close the turret can't fire at her.

I succeed and the turret shuts off... then it just replugs into another power cable and shoots off Delilah's thumb.

So I have Senrath shoot it for it's insolence. Here is a pretty sizeable downside to turrets: They can explode. I believe after 50% of their health is gone any attack can set them sparking. So I have Senrath book it.

Yeah, imagine that happening with your pawns nearby.

Now this map is large and night falls, my pawns are human. Foxes. People. They gotta eat and sleep so I send bios over to keep the fort down while they get some RnR. If I leave all together everything will have been for nothing.

While waiting though the enemy drop pods reinforcements, I have bios run off for as long as possible to keep winding down the clock.

And manage to get Sky and Keanu to show up just as the pirates caught up to him.

Oh and I occasionally have the Recycle Factory droids drop in and start hauling off bodies and gear.

Yeeep.. gonna be a long one. This is like a quarter of the map.

Oooooh hello hello, a bunch of rimfactory stuff and a good amount of advance components.

While looting some more pirates drop pod in and start vandalizing the ride :argh:

I think I'm on day 3 now of this siege and more raiders dropped in from the left, right and top and they start rushing my group down. I retreat back in the alley to keep them from shooting at me.

Aaand Senrath goes down. Thankfully these drop pod groups are "independent" from everyone else and they'll go and run away on their own terms so I was able to get an opening to get Senrath into the albatross and back to base.

Oh god dammit. So hey, did you think avoiding caves meant you were free from bugs? Nope! Ship chunks can come crashing down that are infested with bugs, and of course they also reproduce.

Aaand some dropped inside of the walls. God dammit. Thankfully there are no guests in today.

Oh no, not again. Mojangles :ohdear:

However, Silent popping out of the door gave Jelly enough time to pop the megascarab while Silent distracted the megaspider. Mojangles lives another day!

I finally manage to kill all the hostiles around the town, good lord this was nearly a solid week of work.

So now I have the bots drop on in and start looting. The Tunia albatross is taking any explosive shells, manaweave, plasteel, that kinda useful stuff. The Recycle Factory is swiping up bodies and gear to break down.

Urg, well even though we killed all the humans...

There are still active turrets around. God dammit.

And then Krysm gets their spine shot out. Dunno how they're still functioning. I mean, they can't stand up, but you know what I mean.

Oh and there are still people wandering around, but they're friendlies. They don't help in a fight, they're just there. Gotta wonder how they feel seeing 2 ships coming in, one grabbing anything valuable while the other is dragging bodies inside.

Oh and another ship dropped but I was ignoring it cause it of course has a bunch of centipedes. I saw a pod drop and thought cool, they're gonna fight the mechoids. But it turns out they were the mechoids the whole time.

It's a bunch of scythers though so its not too bad. Also Sugar's anti armor bullet can stun an entire group of them, good poo poo.

I've also had a scroll made for Hitomi, sabotage is a technomancer only spell. It has a decent sized AOE too and it caused a bunch of infighting between the scythers.

Hey, time to show off one of our shields. This is the small one that is perfect for shielding up the southern bunker. Any shots coming in will start deteriorating the shield's strength. When it hits 0 it'll catch on fire. If you look to the right of Hitomi I have a ceiling foam popper installed, when it detects fire it'll fire off foam to extinguish fire.

Gonna note here that they are extremely power intensive when active. Gonna have to start expanding my battery storage for when the shields go up.

Recycle Factory is having... processing issues.

But hey, when things do start going through look at how much money I can get just off hats

As the space station gets more walls added its value is increased, which makes Lynneth bored of her horseshoe pin. I sent up a plasteel arcade cabinet for her to play. In open space.

Another infestation happens, and of course these fuckers want to show up here and not the part of the cavern I mined to hell

Tribal allies show up and er... oh no. They don't drop pod in... Alright guys, you're only here to help with the bugs yeah?

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

:sigh:

With the Preemptive Strike mod we can contact people that we spot with recon. Neutral/friendly can be told to leave, which is nice when you got a bunch of centipedes camping the spawn.

Dammit, I named Cugel and they wandered into that melee with the bugs. They lost their tail AND got a scar on both eyes. It's ok buddy, you're gonna get some cyber eyes and your tail orb'd

In space I set up a research bench so Lynneth can research while waiting for resource drops.

Recycle Factory got a second smart recycler to help process all the gear. I may push the recyclers further away and then put another crate with a puller between the two crates to give some extra breathing room.

I had Hitomi troll the mechoids by wandering over occasionally and sabotaging the group of them and having them attack one another.

I'm taking all 307 of their components and still walking away with over 9 thousand silver

Uh oh, Sugar and Keanu don't like one another. What the hell is up with this conversation?

A few sabotages and the mechoids ended up destroying their own ship. They come in so slowly that Sugar's anti armor and Senrath's frost shots keep them stunned and unable to break the shield, meanwhile I build 2 extra auto cannon turrets to help out.

I start getting into enchanting, despite unlocking it so long ago. So there are different types of enchantments:

Holding: Maximum MP/Stamina

Acceleration: Cooldowns

Regeneration: MP/Stamina regen

Leaning: XP gain

Conservation: Skill costs

Force: Damage

Resistance: Reduces magic damage.

The letters make no god drat sense, in the above order their letter is M, D, R, G, C, Z, X. Why does D mean acceleration, which is your cooldown? Or C mean Force? Anyways, on top of each type of gem there is also a size that'll provide increasing buffs, but you cannot stack the same buff and it'll overwrite even if its a lesser buff. So big gems or bust. Or rather, big wonder gems or bust. Wonder gems provide EVERY buff at once. It costs some more jade, but less magicyte, but really just going "Alright this one gem and I'm good" is worth it.

Buuuut, some equipment already comes pre enchanted. These enchantments can be more than what a gem can give and gems can overwrite that. So I'm just throwing wonder gems on regular stuff and gonna leave already enchanted stuff alone.

So uh... have I mentioned the assembler can make a lot of masterwork hats? Like a LOT? And getting a ping and a notification for each one kinda makes me wish for death?

I had a space cooker built and sent up to the space station. It has all the cooking recipes as the modern cooker but it can also do all the grill and deep fry recipes as well. And unlike the previous cookers, we can increase the crafting radius of it so I don't need to place everything right up to it.

Blue Moon assholes dropping right on top once again.

Urg, what the gently caress. Someone is doing some light up poo poo and it pummeled the poo poo out of the nearby animals. Poor Terry.

Did I mention the assembler can make a lot of hats  Imagine 51 pings in a row :shepicide:

WHOA GOD A DEMON IN THE LOUNGE ahahaha got ya. Next to Silent is a sapient holodeck which is a pretty cool item. Colonists will use it and play a scenario that projects an image in the area for them to play around in. It also increases their skills depending on what it is. In this case its an "exoctic menagerie" that increases animal skill. Not fast mind you, but its something. Its pretty neat that is just pulls from whatever animals are in the game so it shows the demons.

And speaking of the lounge, made a diamond hot tub

... How the hell do you have access to these items and still be a tribe? I grab the one for the techprof, I may have an idea for this.

Thanks for taking the hit buddies!

I've researched what I believe is the ultimate "spotting" recon building, the drone facility. It provides 8 range that actually identifies what is approaching, rather than the range that simply lets us know something is coming.

And the first stage of the station is complete, the inner ring is set up breathable!

I guess its time to name the station :sigh:

A bunch of scythers dropped in and god dammit. I need to keep the animals out of this area.

Now... I had some plans for that techprof. First I research the Phoenix legit.

After the phoenix is this thing, and you might be able to make out the word "archotech" on the bottom left. That's the tier that this item is on. It is the only item in this tier. Also it costs 72 loving thousand.

But the techprof is instant research.

I got a mod that lets you increase your tech level when you hit certain milestones. Useful if you start as tribals, since you would never advance past that "tech level" and have huge penalties as you go higher up the tech tree. What this means is now everything behind archotech, aka everything else in the tech tree, is now cheaper to research :getin:

Also we get the option to build this and good lord look at this poo poo. 3 persona cores, 5.6k steel, 50k silver!

But it can apparently have infinite fuel, capacity and has nearly 10 million health.

Oh but you think we're done?! We're not loving done! All the thrumbos I've murdered have been used to make another thrumbo sword and axe. Tossing them into the magic circle with some magicyte...

Behold ye mere mortals, a blade forged from the ether itself!

You fools thought the axe was Lina's final form?!

AHAHAHAHA, AHAHAHAHAHA SHE CAN DEFLECT THROUGH HER SHIELD

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

Space Adventures

:sickos:

I send Shorty up to space, both for research and so she can use spell mending on Lynneth. Since Shorty isn't wearing an Eva suit I set up an "atmosphere" zone in completed areas of the ship and restrict her to it.

I got a fission reactor set up that provides a good 10k power while using uranium rods as fuel. We can put the reactors into overdrive at the cost of burning fuel faster, heating up the ship and risking radiation leaks.

Finally saw someone using the tub. Do I need to censor this?

I've also got several plasteel deposits scanned. They last a season or two before someone else comes in and mines it all. I get the androids set up with some escorts and head over.

Excellent parking job. Each deposit gives about 300=400 plasteel, pretty good haul.

To make sure I got juice for powering the shields I set up a 256k battery. Don't worry about short circuits, I got a circuit breaker that is rated for 300k power.

I get the hydroponics set up in Lastation. There is an artificial soil substrate that has 100% fertility that you can place on the flooring. Sadly we cannot plow this substrate. I set one plot to do rice for now then switch to corn, the other will grow red lentils, which works like a meat substitute.

We need more wolves! Faster!

And the first of our new beasts arrives. As a comparison, arctic wolves only had 3% defense, compared to dire wolves getting 65/38/45 for their sharp/blunt/heat. They have really high training requirements though, it's gonna take a while to be able to ride them. But once I get their training high enough I can brain scan them and then apply it to the others.

Drop pod raid in 3 separate groups of sappers. These assholes appear down where I blocked off the beach and start breaking in.

Then you get these assholes up here.

Gonna be quite the surprise when they finally break through.

Size comparison between the wolves.

I've unlocked the ship computer core and used up one of those persona cores I've had forever ago. It works like an automated bridge, it'll do all the scanning and other bridge related stuff without needing a colonist manning it.

And now that its scanning stuff we get a few events popping up in space.

You get told how much fuel it'll take to travel to the event, but eh, I always bring along a full set of fuel each time.

Ship debris have these really jacked up looking hulls that don't give anything when destroyed and some other assorted loot.

Something I haven't mentioned is that you can set up the shuttles in a hover mode and then draft them to move them around. Its nice to get the ship closer to anything we plan to take back.

Oh and I got Jelly that explosive satchel.

God drat, bugs are in space too?

I get Senrath to fall back and have Jelly toss a satchel charge onto the wall.

once the wall blows up we can see the effects of space on things that aren't in an EVA suit. Space is in the negative triple digits for temperature so everyone freezes. Then you start taking decompression damage on body parts and suffer hypoxia. I leave these bugs to their fate.

The big pull for these places are these bits of ship chunks. However neither Jelly nor Senrath can do construction so...

I bring Lynneth on over to break them down and sweet lord that is some good poo poo. 3 Advance components and 12 plasteel per chunk.

loving hell Randy, think you spawned enough raiders?

Its yet another sapper raid and for some reason they want to gently caress around in the mountain in this corner. So I decide to finally bring out one of these triple rocket launchers.

Yeah, that'll do.

....Then they started dicking around in this mountain.

I've researched near the end of the industry tech tree and there is some good poo poo at the end here. In the bottom right I set up 2 grow zone pullers to drop stuff directly into an I/O port. I/O ports will deliver products to/from digital storage units with no connections needed. Up top is a digital storage unit, specifically a refrigerated version. This can store 512 stacks worth of stuff, requiring a mere 10W of power for each stack. Even better: The refrigerated version will keep its stuff refrigerated even during a solar flare, it just wont be able to accept more product during that time.

In more space adventures, I've come across a damaged satellite. What we can do is first repair it which requires a pawn with high construction. Then we need someone with high intelligence to hack into it.

On success we get some neat poo poo out of it, like these targeters that we can use planetside to blow up our enemies! We can also deconstruct parts of the ship but it makes mechoids attack the ship. Not this place, the ship. And I don't want to fight centipedes in space right now.

I set up a sapient holodeck in the lounge and you may be able to make out a thin blue line on the top left, that is a glassworks TV that gives a better recreation bonus than regular flatscreen TVs.

Bit by bit Lastation is getting filled in. I've also built a little ship above the storage area, complete with a bridge and scanner.

We can land these ships directly in our other colonies or even other maps. It costs nothing to land ships, but you need to have engines on them with fuel to get back into space. Also you can land without anyone piloting, but you need a pilot to get back up.

So yeah, ship is back in Tunia for now. I'll eventually build an engine for it and then run a chemfuel pipe to that engine to keep it full. Oh and I should mention this type of travel is completely instant. I can place furniture and other poo poo in there and fly it straight back up.

I can't believe its been all this time and I forgot about one of the proest strats for bionics: A synthetic stomach. No more gut worms! Also it increases metabolism which increases rest rate. I start making more stomachs, its a good use of the hyperweave I've been stockpiling.

Now more mechoids show up and its cool that while the shield stops their inferno cannons, they can still spread fire through the shield.

In short, both Average and Krysm died :sigh:

I really loving hate centipedes guys.

Back in space, I love this holodeck. Organ tycoon. I mean, they aren't wrong. Hearts are worth quite a bit on the market...

Meet Wendy, who I'm realizing I dropped the ball by not having her be a redhead. She is our miner android for space adventures.

Oh and at this point I've realized that EVA suits provide the exact same protection regardless of the material they're made out of. Which is great that I spent thrumbofur on Lynneth's set. So I set all future suits to be made out of manaweave since they still get that enchantment bonus. Also I like the red cloaks with the purple suits.

drat I almost forgot, that circle of light around her? I installed a flashlight implant on her, so she now has light around her at all times. Perfect while mining, she wont get the darkness debuff

Now that I have a space miner I head on out to a set of "rich asteroids" that have been getting scanned.

Inside one of the asteroids are these things. Dear god, space bugs that are immune to the effects of being in space. We actually saw these on the holodeck last update.

Hrm.... I wonder if I can genome them.

There is a good amount of stuff out here in space. Plasteel, diamonds, gold...

I have Jelly and Senrath escorting Wendy and decide why not try some stick mining?

... Balls. Something I'll try another time is to use explosives to drop the durability of the vein then have a miner mine the last bits to see if the drop rate is effected by overall mining progress or just on the last hit.

Oh god the bugs are attacking. I grab the one stack of plasteel that was mined and head out. I'm gonna make a second mining android next time as mining plasteel takes forever. Unless the aforementioned explosive idea works.

Checking out another bit of ship debris has some raiders and mechoids fighting one another. I hang back and take pot shots at the mechoids.

Uh oh, the androids don't like one another. What caused this fight?

The hell, is this a space station or the discount grocery store I work at?

I send up a few things, one of the masterwork hospital beds, a vitals scanner and the second clone vat I made now that I got enough wolves. Oh and I brought Average on up to test something.

Aaand turns out droids can suffer decompression. We can give worker droids EVA gear but the war droids can't wear anything, so they're completely locked out of space.

Hrm, hostile ship eh?

 So yeah, since the space station is currently sitting at "sky high expectations" we are only gonna be fighting these end game space ships.

This little meter shows up in ship combat letting us see our energy and heat levels. Below that is a meter showing distance between both ships and range markers showing what weapons work best at what range. We can get closer or further from the enemy ship and this is based on how many engines we got compared to the enemy. If we get far enough away we can disengage.

Yeeeahhhhh.....

In the first volley the ship's shield is destroyed and the ship just completely shreds the station.

I sent some pawns over to the other ship to try and board it. They responded by sending like 10 people out.

Let's... let's reload.

Hitomi was so proud of the end table she made the day before that she engraved it onto the dresser. These are illuminated end tables and dressers that not only provide a slightly higher comfort rating to the bed, but a +7% rest effectiveness. Whats cool is that the item information window actually updates to show these effects. So an excellent advance bed has a rest rate of 142%. With these items it increases to 158%. I know that isn't what 142+14 equals, but there it is.

I finally found a drat cow to replace the goat we lost. This one cow produces as much milk as both goats did. And I can take a genome and make more cows if I need more milk.

During a raid some thrumbos showed up and I took a shot at one of them, which caused them all to go manhunter. And the raiders were closer :getin:

I finally give Keanu's Ketsuekiton move a try, the one that causes explosions along blood. Since the raiders keep running along the barb wire here they leave blood all over the area. I was expecting like the regular explosions, instead its this like red smoke that goes along the blood. Neat!

I've installed some sprinklers in the hydroponics bay. Every day they'll release water in a radius that will temporarily increase the fertility of the ground. And I just noticed I don't have the 3 tiles in the top right of the bottom plot covered.

I've replaced Tunia's droids construction shirts with a solar panel duster. It may look like a normal duster but I assure you its solar powered. Since mining plasteel takes so long I have to send the droids back to get a charge while mining. This will keep their energy topped off and I can keep them there until everything is mined out.

The AI scanned a ship bow that is supposed to be the ship that you crash land from. Its certainly big.

When arriving there are several psychic drone effects but if you look on the bottom right: (male). My pro strat has paid off!

I go to step in and holy poo poo, mechoid, turrets and IEDs are all over the place.

And then a bunch of radiers come out... who aren't hostile to the mechoids for some reason. And one has a god drat rocket launcher.

loving, same. Just same.

So many start rushing out that I leave behind a satchel charge.

... Though this plan kinda backfired since now there is open space between the mechoids/turrets and my pawns.

Thankfully the mechoids seem to stick around their area so I have Jelly go around and start blowing holes into the ship to get around them. There is a room absolutely full of dead pawns nearby.

I blow up parts of a wall in a way that'll let me throw a satchel inside and hit the IEDs. It kinda works but there is a LOT of turrets spread all over that room. I go ahead and retreat to get everyone patched back up. Whats neat is that this doesn't close the map like every other area, its still active and I can return at any time.

I've set up an oil drill and all that chemfuel stuff so we can get access to chemfuel. This is both for keeping engines topped off and keeping the chemfuel water heaters full.

Heading back in and the shuttle drops us off on this edge of the ship. I start blowing my way through.

A door opens up and a hail of gunfire starts coming in, I can't see who or what is on the other side.

So I send Wendy over to take a look :dumb:

Whats neat is that there are these things we can interact with, this uses a pawn's intelligence to hack and can shut off reactors. I er... think this is meant to be for a ship that isn't derelict though so it does nothing.

At the right side, center, there is a double walled room. Jelly does what she does best.

This room has an AI core, some plasteel and wow a full stack of demon scales.

Oh my. This game kinda has like a halo lore thing where AIs start to go crazy and poo poo, its basically the basis of archotech stuff hating humans.

Its ok buddy, there is more to life. Come to our space utopia, its full of fox girls, booze, the finest of foods....

... Don't mind that everyone else is staying as far away as possible....

Wait what? You mother fucker. Thats how its gonna be? You wanna die?!

I'm very good at killing things!

Oh hey, well that worked out I guess.

So with a space station going in full swing, I don't really need 3 different colonies. Using the "observe area" command from our scanners I can look at maps without having to send someone over to settle it. This is an arid shrubland with a huge river and a northern coast. I'm thinking of settling here and leaving Recycle Factory and Tunia behind. Hell, I can even split the settlement, one side can have all the relaxation and luxuries while the other side is a processing center. Sure the colonists will get the butcher humanlike mood, but they'll be too happy with amazing bedrooms, food and drugs to care.

Alright so that extra ship can have its own name, what should it be named? And what should this new colony to be be named?

Fuck you say?!

The space stuff is a mod, right? Or did they add a LOT more to the endgame since I last sent colonists to space?

It is from the Save Our Ship 2 mod

Spoilers: tested in 1.0 at least, damaging an ore deposit with explosives (or gunfire/melee/unskilled mining) before finishing with a skilled miner, you still end up destroying resources.

Out of curiosity, are there upgrades to the labor droids, or it is expected that you would just print out full androids instead?

There are no upgrades for the droids, its a choice between a completely static pawn who can work 24/7 or androids that need to sleep and are effected by mood.

Drone mentality gives an android the same permanent +200 mood buff that makes mood irrelevant for droids (and massively nerfs their learning speed) so they're kinda halfway. They make good melee meatshields in lightly-modded runs since they don't go berserk and murder everyone with whatever faceshredder/monosword/etc you've given them, and unlike droids they don't die in one hit, and unlike battledroids they can do most labor.

Aaand turns out droids can suffer decompression. We can give worker droids EVA gear but the war droids can't wear anything, so they're completely locked out of space.

To be fair, the idea of a war droid in a space suit is kinda too silly really.

Attacked by a PLANET KILLER?! drat, that's just wrong.

I got a full set of bionic legs on one of the dire wolves and they get 8.25 move speed. Thats a solid 1 over what Sugar gets with 2 advance bionic legs. I'm sure if I get a spine in them it'll increase some more, but space stuff is really monopolizing all my plasteel and advance components.

Yeeeaah... its gonna be a bit until next update as I try and figure out a good station layout to actually deal with these battles. Space is... very involved.

So yeah, ya'll got some time to decide on names :v:

I think you can stack those archiotech shields like the ones you have on the colony over the sides of the station so once the station shields fail or turned off for heat venting, you can rely on those for a minute or two.

Alternatively, since you are probably drowning in arcanium by now, you could also just surround the space station in multiple layers thick arcanium walls or something.

Man I really want to try this game but I think I am going to wait for it to go on sale just in case it isn't 100% my cup of tea. This reminds me of a sort of Dwarf Fortress in space, and that isn't totally a bad thing though DF was a lot too complicated for my tastes. I love a good sim game, and this seems cool.

Just as a note, there are so many mods for Rimworld that you can basically play the game in any way you want at this point. If you don't like a feature or want to tweak a feature, I can basically guarantee that someone has already made a mod to do so.

It's a really fun game, and a lot of what keeps it fresh is the sheer quantity of things you can do to change the scenario. Vanilla is also a fun experience, though most people have a list of quality of life mods that they consider helpful even for a vanilla playthrough.

Also bear in mind this is heavily modded from the base game, so the vanilla experience is significantly different.

There are a lot of mechanics under the hood in Rimworld but it's not quite so intense as Dwarf Fortress

About the sale part, I believe the dev has stood by that he will never do a sale for this game. E: Wrong! Its on sale 10% off right now.

I think it was cheaper before it hit 1.0, but yeah I bought it and well
