Uh actually it's a "Broken Arrow", I learned that from hit 90's action film "Broken Arrow" and John Travolta would never lie to me I actually tried to replay 3 a coupl weeks ago just for the Vaas bits but I couldn't get into it. Then I tried 4 & 5 and ended up sticking with 5 pretty much just bcause of how much better it runs on my mediocre pc, and I'm having a blast with it. Will play New Dawn next cos it's the only FC that I've never played all the way through. I also loved FC 2, I wish it would get a remake or hd remaster but people seemed to mostly hate it so lol that's never gonna happen

Kobal2 posted:technically Empty Quiver is when one of the big firecrackers gets nicked or lost somehow ; Broken Arrow is when one gets blown up accidentally (not necessarily a full-on nuclear blast). Bent Spear means it leaked green juice all over the place and your cornfields are about to get seven types of cancer. That's way cooler than I was expecting, which was that Broken Arrow was just a made-up hollywood term. Trustworthy posted:Far Cry 2 had an amazing setting and tone, and I sure wish the series would have continued in that direction. I totally agree with all this except I really liked Vaas, I thought he nailed that being a legit terrifying dude who's just crazy enough to seem genuinely unhinged and unpredictable. Whereas old crab rangoon Pagan Min was a bit too much for me and just seemed like Ubisoft trying to fluke Vaas 2.0 But 2 was still the best because you were basically the villain and all the henchmen you fought had amazing dialogue where they just got more and more terrified of you as the game went on. That whole thing was extremely overblown in ghost recon, you could always headshot dudes, the levelling system was basically pointless.

I was pretty weirded out that there was cockfighting in the game until it turned out to be like a tekken-esque fighting game

That incendiary shotgun owns, I'm having a lot of fun with th weapon variation in this, especially compared to 5. I just had a song play on a car radio and the pc sang along with it and then kept singing it for a bit when I hopped out, that was a really cool touch. e] I also have a hella hard time spotting enemies in foliage, I usually just go full Nam style and unload a bunch of mg or shotgun into the general area

Dr. Video Games 0031 posted:The PC version is also compatible with the PS5 controller, and it works with full adaptive trigger functionality. And it does indeed feel awesome. I still prefer playing with a keyboard and mouse, but the PS5 controller support is so good that it's making me want to switch over. What's the support for ps5 controllers on pc like in general? I'm still playing with my busted old 360 controller. Babe Magnet posted:
Is that even a checkpoint? There's no spikestrips or anything...

Play posted:I have not seen anything like this. The only thing I can think of is that you are in fact so far away that it does not register you as assaulting that area and so is just automatically replacing enemies so they'll be ready if you do start. If that makes sense I've had a ton of instances of bases respawning troops as I'm clearing them, most recently as an example, the abandoned Hotel where you go find the russian twins, which is not a large area at all. When the "special forces" start hunting you I've had them respawn literalyy 2-3 metres in front of me, in their little 3 man teams. It's the only real issue I've had with the game tbh, poo poo spawns way too close constantly. e] Imo the spawn distance and timers are way off.

lmao I just did the lighthouse drop mission where you get caught and get a bunch of your teeth ripped out and I was like, holy poo poo, this is a bit much, but then it was totally redeemed by Juan not even batting an eye and going "Oh yea lol, guerilla life, just chew with your front teeth like a rabbit "

I think it was called dead drops, you are supposed to deliver stuff to three lighthouses, it triggers at one of them.

I mean, I know you're a freedom fighter revolutionary, but your team is pretty fuckin brutal. 2 was the most terrorsim because you had literal IED's and an ak and could go ambush convoys (convoys don't count in this cos it's just one truck and 1 escort )
