Pittsburgh has the International Wrestling Cartel (IWC) which gave the world Dr. Britt Baker and Wardlow. Brian Pillman Jr's listed as being part of the current roster, plus a bunch of these guys showed up on Dark a little while back. The next show has both NZO and BIG CAZ so I think I'll skip that one, but this might be fun to check out in the fall. I remember seeing Larry Sweeney and Colt Cabana in a strut off back in college, that was pretty awesome.

Excited for Enjoy Wrestling in Pittsburgh on July 2nd. I bought tickets solely based on the announcement that Lee Moriarty was wrestling for the title, but the rest of the show looks pretty good. Willow Nightingale, Effy, Allie Katch, and a bunch of wrestlers I don't know yet but who look super interesting to me. This is my first indy show in like 15 years, holy crap.

Willow Nightingale is cool as hell and insanely charismatic, she was the highlight of both matches she was in. My wife and I got there right as the doors opened and were right next to the ring, that made for a hell of a fun show.

I had no idea she was a heel so I started cheering her because of the shirt she wore for her first match. She pretty quickly got me booing her but I could easily see her work as a great face, too.

I wanna see how Tacomania goes in July. Outdoor wrestling surrounded by tacos and tequila sounds amazing and presumably is gonna draw a pretty big crowd. You can't do that all year round but I would 100% be down for a few spring and summer outdoor wrestling shows in Pittsburgh.

achillesforever6 posted:It does suck things got derailed for the plans for the tag titles because Gummiboar lost their booking due to abuse allegations with Erica Leigh and Killian McMurphy accusing each other which again sucks (and seems very much a "you two seem to be really toxic to one another" situation). I wasn't able to go to last week's show but that sucks about Gummiboar; their match with the Runway a while back kicked rear end and they would have been great tag champs. Tacomania kicked rear end last year, excited to fill myself with booze and tacos and watch outdoor wrestling. Running Stage AE is huge for them, hopefully it goes well. I remember seeing NXT shows there years ago and it's still a really good venue for wrestling, plus being that close to the city means I can plan a whole day around the show.

I will miss the unique vibes of Mr. Smalls, though, but I understand the need to expand a bit. The last few shows there have been jam-packed. Fingers crossed this is a big show for them! I imagine they'll be advertising like crazy during Tacomania next weekend, too.
