The move was loving insane it made no thematic sense to have someone kick out like it was a piss ant move if you're going to end it with a regular rear end chair shot. if an avalanche tombstone should have ended the match, why would a chairshot to the head to add on to the damage done by the avalanche tombstone not have ended it?

It's the move that lost MJF the match. He almost had it until he hosed up his knee on the tombstone and couldn't pin, or even beat, a still-concious Sammy. Also, Spears is a chair specialist. His chairshot should be like a Jake Roberts short-arm clothesline.

the avalanche tombstone was not enough to put sammy away. But then he continued to wrestle and endure more pain, and then he ate a chair shot to the same head that he was piledriven upon, and that was just too much at that point

i've never seen MJF do an avalanche tombstone so it's possible he performed it incorrrectly, mayhaps he "didn't get all of that one", as his technique was poor which is supported by the leg injury he sustained

They also want to show off and show they are better. And lots of times it bites you in the rear end.
