I do I have a monitor with a wonky DisplayPort input, but the VGA works totally fine and I can’t tell the difference with my old lady eyes. it’s kinda wild that vga is so entrenched that HP is still putting it in their latest docking stations and monitors. I also use VGA for both of my vintage computers. I’ve always thought VGA was a perfectly good video format. it supports a lot of good resolutions and looks great for how simple it is. eventually I might learn how to make a vga interface myself on an fpga, it always seemed like a fun project. how bout y’all?

VGA is the purest display standard. you have an hsync and a vsync and red green blue. five pins plus grounds. it’s been around for three hundred years. you cannot surpass it
