A hoverfly (I think Syrphus ribesii) doing its famous wasp impersonation.

Some brown beetle I've never seen before:

Found near Kongsberg, Norway.
I'd say it was slightly shorter than finger width. (The reflection on the car is not accurate.)

Carrion beetle (I think Nicrophorus vespilloides)

Rather noisy little fellow.

Okay, molluscs are out - but what about dragonflies?

Also, another butterfly(?) larva.

Os, norway.

Been visiting the mountains in southern Norway:

Huntsman spider

I believe this is a mountain fritillary (Boloria napaea)

Some flies(?) that suddenly dropped out of the sky in the middle of breeding.

And few from my parent's house in Bergen:

A spider I don't recognize, camping near the porch light.

Some moth

Some other moth

Bibionidae, non-biting midges.
Thanks. Now that I'm looking at the correct category, I thinks it's Bibio pomonae, nicknamed "Russia fly" in Norwegian.

Mak0rz posted:

This appears to be a harvestman, not a spider. An arachnid from the order Opiliones.
Yup, my bad.
I even looked that one up, but then the mind-to-writing part had a hiccup.

Walked by this little guy today:

I believe this is a frog? Looks too smooth for a toad.

I've got some kind of wasp-patterned spider skulking around on my ceiling:

It's pretty small, less than one centimeter in length.
Anyone recognize the species? This is in Norway.

Found a small beetle I don't recognize on a fallen pine tree in Norway:

Not sure if it's the kind that's attracted to dead trees, or just happened to be walking on it.

Almost walked right past this one on the road today. Pretty sure i wouldn't have noticed anything if it hadn't moved. Not sure what I'm looking at (Trondheim, Norway).

I could have sworn the name was translated as "Pit viper" the last time I looked it up, but wikipedia call it the common adder.

Came home from work and found this guy hanging out next to the light switch in the living room:

I'll let him stay inside for now since it is currently -14°C outside.
