Audience 4, turn 38! The Empress will hear your petitions now. Dukes! Make your petitions and bids using the Empress's Favor you have collected and prepare your next political moves in the court. (If you are taking over fleets consider having your top Admiral give it orders) Admirals consult your houses and prepare orders for your fleet (Jossar, Innoccent Bystander, Incy, Ichabod, Sparkletits) Empress's Favor available is in the Tracking Sheet Court Status: The final shape of the Court after Goons are resurrected via advanced cloning for the new Era. The Fleets 2nd Fleet gets a political officer, congratulations Volmarius for your new post courtesy of House Janus! 1st Fleet [Admiral Jossar Juno] Is dispersed along the Antarian front and is expecting a big shipyard arrival next turn of Falcon Frigates to replace its lost escorts. It is at Neton, Guzix and Gorganos, finishing the invasion at the latter (95% complete). 2nd Fleet [Admiral Innocent bystander] has returned to Narwog, it is due a handful of reinforcements but needs more commitment from the yards to return its four squadrons to full strength. As an addendum 9th Fleet will likely be pinned down covering Rileos from Hive assaults for the forseeable future. 5th Fleet [Admiral Incy Mars] is at Emrod having beaten off a pirate attack last turn which threatened to take the planet. It is only at about half strength. 7th Fleet [Admiral Sparkle Mars] is finishing the invasion of Lupsang. it is in similar condition to 5th having largely fought the same battles. 6th Fleet [Admiral Ichabod Saturn] is at Annabelle and should be back to about 75% strength next turn. It has been licking its wounds after its defeat against the Corrians and is well positioned to respond to Pirate incursions at Overkus and Lordel which threaten to take the planets. Starmaps of the relevant areas: We progress the storyline events as fast as we can. Decision 1 - Tau Factor We have a chance to swing policy for or against the minor nation neighbours of the Narwog and Antarians, the Tau Cetians. Option A - Move towards closer diplomatic ties. Option B - Take hostile actions. Decison 2 - Diplomacy We have a chance to influence policy towards a Major Empire for this era (50 turns). Closer ties will make gaining influence easier and reduce the threat they perceive us as (less attacks). Options A-D in order presented above. Decision 3 - Military Focus As above - 50 turns of +10% damage to the empire of our choosing. Thats it for this audience! Can Dukes and Admirals have their orders in by 1200GMT Friday 13th! Priority Communique, 2nd Fleet high command Admiral Innocent the Bystander of house Janus Status summary, northern front: The campaign is slowing in tandem with the rate of incoming reinforcements, but given what I have to work with the situation remains positive. I would like a status update on the efforts to subdue Swarm overmind formation, as the current tide of bioships occupying 9th Fleet might be stemmed by exterminating the two overminds near the Narwog sector. Such an effort would only be worthwhile if we can be assured they will not immediately be replaced elsewhere. Court Business: 1 A: The Cetans are currently a valuable buffer state between us and greater threats. The northern front features both greater threats and greater opportunities than their handful of stars, and placating them for the foreseeable future would be highly desirable. 2 D: 1st Fleet is currently occupied defending against Antarian aggression. Reducing this threat might free up that fleet for more proactive efforts elsewhere. 3 B: With 5th and 7th fleet gearing up to take their city-world, we should give them all the advantages they can get in securing this treasure, which will supply the empire with a resource it is in dire need of: Ever more ships. B B C We need the boost against the Antarians to break that deadlock. Once the frontline is smashed to bits, we can shorten it greatly and free up resources for other, less crucial needs. The Sha are the only power we are not currently campaigning against. It would be unpleasant if they chose to change that.

I have every confidence in the forces facing the Antarians to do what must be done, but the fact remains the the Empress' prize lies in Vixian hands. All elements of society must unite around bringing her what she seeks. Indeed, if freeing up resources is your concern, why vote to antagonize the Tau Cetians....

Jossar of House Juno, Admiral of the First Fleet As tempting as it would be to continue to lead the First Fleet to glory against the Antarians, the point of proving our mettle has been made, and the Empire has other priorities at the current time. Therefore I will join my fellow Admirals in a vote for: 1) A 2) D 3) B As before, the First Fleet will continue to to keep the Antarian frontier stable. Not giving up on Gorganos though, that's rightful territory of the Empire, after all!

1) A - they're a useful meat shield 2) D - Why fight on more fronts than needed? 3) B - Push forward and strike the killing blow to the Vix! The 6th will move to eliminate the pirates at Lordel as a matter of urgency - Pirates are not permitted to draw breath so close to Terra. e: Once those scum are dealt with, the 6th will act defensively against the Correans until fully reinforced. Should time and xeno pressure allow, we may attack Overkus before returning, but the Correans are the greater threat. If fully reinforced before orders are next issued, we shall take the fight to the Correans, pushing northwards and shortening the front before striking at their Capitol (by shortening the front, I mean not just those bottom 3 but also Entur and Sladryn, so the 9th doesn't have to watch its back so much Also, in keeping with House Saturn's scientific interests, I would like to rename my fleet Reviewer 2 Ichabod Sexbeast fucked around with this message at 18:44 on Aug 12, 2021 |

Court Moves! There is shanking, there is shuffling. And in the end, House Mercury ends up on top of three ministries and hosue Saturn stages something of a comeback. Turn 39 Querkus and Lordel fall to pirate invasions even as 6th Fleet races to the relief of Lordel. Gorganos is taken by 1st Fleet! +2 Favor for House Juno, +1 Favor for House Mars. In the south Lupsang Falls to the combined forces of 5th and 7th Fleets. The fleets will need to wait while they are supplied new ships before continuing on their offensive. +2 Favor for House Mars, +1 Favor for House Juno. A reinforced 2nd Fleet sets out to take another Narwog world. Work begins to make the Tau Cetians more compliant neighbours. We also update our technology. Turn 40 The Vix attack up and down the frontier but are seen off my our massive fixed defences along the old border. The Pirates at Lordel are swept away and the Stormtroopers start to land. In the north the 2nd takes control of the orbit of Toua but a lot of ships are damaged in the process, it will take some time to return to full strength. Turn 41 Skirmishes along the Antarian frontier but otherwise a slow turn. The invasion of Toua continues. Turn 42 The Hive continues to try their luck at Rileos but the defense subsidies on the planet are finally hitting critical mass of planetary defenses. Unfortunately an attack by the Tau Cetians of all people hits the Imperial supply lines at Rheptas and threatens to cut them off. 9th is forced to move from defending against the Hive to securing the back lines. Turn 43 Another relatively quiet one so have a shot of the whole Empire. The Corrians have a go at Idiku but are held off. And Toua falls to 2nd Fleet! +2 Favor House Janus! Turn 44 The Empire. Rheptas orbital is retaken securing the supply line for 9th and 2nd. And in the south 5th and 7th take reinforcements and set off to take the next world in the chain, Tiastor. Better incremental tech continues to arrive. Turn 45 The big (and really only) news of the turn is the assault on Tiastor. It goes well, a lot of Frigates are damaged engaging the planetary guns but they will be back eventually. Turn 46 The Antarians try their luck again along the border but are held back by 1st fleet. Turn 47 Literally nothing of note happened. Turn 48 After the quiet of last turn the frontier erupts with Pirate activity. Battles are hard fought but somehow we manage to hold on to every world that was targeted. Turn 49 The pirates have hit other locations as well! Spotting an opportunity 6th Fleet assaults the Corrian world of Chraegmos for the second time. The pirates have seriosuly depleted the defenders and the planetary defenses were already in poor condition from the Empire's assault several turns ago. Unfortunately a Corrian reinforcement squadron arrives at the same time as 6th fleet. 6th Fleet enters into a chaotic melee with the two forces and emerges victorious - just. Only 30 ships are still combat capable! Still, it's enough to start the Stormtroopers landing! Turn 50 This turn consists of mostly the Antarians trying their luck again, the Pirates also look likely to take the ironically named Hijack so a squadron of 1st Fleet is dispatched to secure the planets orbitals. The Empire It's been a slower paced round for the Empire. We have taken a couple of worlds and managed to lose only one (to the pirates.) Start of round: End of Round: However the big news is the slower pace of combat and the massive amount of effort I have poured into increasing our mineral production (mineral availability is currently the rate limiter on ship production and we went from 250 -> 410 minerals per turn) has allowed our fleets to be restored to largely full strength as well as fitting out 8th fleet to 100% combat capability. We have almost six hundred more ships on the front lines than at the last audience amounting to 900kt of warships. Next up, the Audience!
