If anyone has a sub to the Athletic, you can read about what happened to Malik McDowell after that ATV incident:

https://theathletic.com/1071419/2019/07/11/what-happened-to-malik-mcdowell/?amp#click=https://t.co/77Mzu7Pd77

quote:

One month after our talk, Carroll declared McDowell’s rookie year over. On March 4 of this year, Seattle waived him, ending his Seahawks career with one of the most unflattering stat lines in franchise history: zero games played, two year-long stints on injured reserve, three arrests (plus one after his release), two trips to the waiver wire and, most recently, one federal lawsuit over failure to repay his signing bonus.

Brady Hoke wanted him to be a leader, but he just wanted to play ball, which is really what started the whole "character issues" thing. He also had an "I know everything" attitude that meant he wasn't very coachable. That, and him being a complete dumbass on an ATV.

Also, his mom REALLY didn't want him to go to MSU, and at one point went on local radio saying that he shouldn't attend there :psyduck:

Ravens do kind of have a glut of short-armed guard/center candidates. Not much in the way of quality tackles, though.

Yeah Chase has made 19x more, but he's had to do way more work for it.

Super Bowl Champion Ryan Griffin has made about $7m in 7 years as mostly a third string QB. 2 career completions. Has taken 10 snaps in 7 seasons.

I'm assuming you mean Mark Dantonio here? Although Brady Hoke is exactly the kind of jackass to opine on someone who played for a rival.

The mom thing really is crazy reading the article. I wonder if his legal troubles are still hanging over his head or not, that's from 2019 it looks like.

WYTS Rams just has excellent commentary:

quote:

New York’s hottest club is Obvious Hairpiece, which is trying to answer the question: can a photographic memory drive you mad? Located on an ancient race horse burial ground, this team has everything: overrated head coach, a married-to-a-future-Karen circle-faced quarterback who somehow has skated being blamed for the Lions’ problems despite being their only drat starting quarterback since Bobby Layne or Chaz Batch (not sure who is older), the wasted career of the only good and cool defensive player left in the NFL, MTV’s Dan Cortese, fans who wish the Raiders had come back instead, fans who will leave their lovely screenplay on your seat just in case, the audio of Wile E. Coyote falling off a cliff since being pantsed in the Super Bowl, an expensively-financed excuse for why they definitely do not have the Chargers and Raiders inferiority complex that they absolutely have, a dude, don’t take the 405, everyone knows you should take La Cienega instead, and an Ellie Kemper. What’s an Ellie Kemper? It’s that thing where you leave St. Louis only to realize being hot poo poo in the city that TWA filed for bankruptcy to leave, then burned and salted on its way out of town, just reminds everyone that you can look good on paper, but you aren’t cut for stardom in LA, no matter how much cultural racism enabled your past.
