The 'third place' hardware store is closing down, so the main character ends up buying it and realizing that everybody just goes to Big Box stores for their stuff, and really the store is failing because main characters are not nice enough to off set the prices. At first I just wanted to chuckle that this Home Improvement episode is directed by a guy named Peter Bonerz but to go full circle Peter Bonerz was in a movie called Medium Cool about a TV cameraman who records car accidents.
