There are two short lived shows that I can only vaguely remember; hoping someone remembers them. The first was a live action sci fi thing from the 90s that had a mechanism somewhat reminiscent of the matrix; the protagonist was able to enter people's minds using a land line telephone. I don't think it ran more than one season and ended on a cliffhanger. The second was an animated series and the only detail I can remember was the theme song was sung by Iggy Pop.
