I think it's time for a new thread title. Any suggestions? I am also open to suggestions regarding VIP prizes. We're about to start our 10th season so I think it would be a cool thing to do. The top prize would be for the Serie Goon champion, with additional prizes for whatever sounds fun. 2 double jumps  Have noticed that when a player double jumps they usually seem to "make up" for it later by missing a jump when they should go up though. Yeah, there's a hidden decimal that's rounded to the closest whole number (ie 4.5 skill and 5.4 skill will both display a 5), so quite often a double represents a player jumping from the high end of their visible skill to the low end of a bracket two above. It's still good for squad value and the dopamine for watching bar go up is priceless. Pretty happy with my change report with the exception of my youth midfielder that didn't get enough of a runaround. I think I'm in a pretty good development spot in Serie Goon amongst many teams full of elderly mutants, although my Keeper's put me on a bit of a clock until I can get a replacement up.

Keeper is the hardest one develop I feel. My current keeper I worked on from originally being a 19/5 (obvious newb mistake there) and I feel like if I tried to do that again I would ship a goal a shot so it's not really workable. It's going to be a whole situation when that guy retires. On the flip side goalies do get a more DV than other players but still require time on the pitch to get enough for development.

 Good overall given that I had to press hard for promotion and focus on winning now. Youth defenders weren't great and they're all going to the farm. Gavin and Bobby are coming along well enough; Bobby has goal scoring instincts so he can be passable. This team still has some legs but I only have a few seasons of a window for a title. As disappointing as this last season was for my team, the change report wasn't terrible. No double jumps but also none of the older guys I expected to retire are retiring, so I get to save some money not having to get replacement old folks.

I've had such bad luck with the youth academy I've stopped spending on it. I started targeting 19/6s to build my team, they are at a good age-skill level for building and are affordable. Usually sub 300k without any special traits (though I found a few with hardworking). My question is which is better higher skill or a little lower skill with a good trait or 2?

Having a free kick specialist is the bee knees. My underperforming forward gets subbed for freekick specialist. The literally the next minute he proceeds to score. Shout out to Theodor Sieber. Also Unicorn Power had a goal disallowed at the death. A good split points. Also divine Coffee have you tried not being poor. I hear that works really well.

Hey, a finally got an 18/5....too bad he's a Diva. Definitely have won two games I did not deserve to win, at least based on creating chances. I'm in a good spot and with a win I can take pole position for the crown. Will this be the consumation of what the Geese were meant to be?

I think it was literally like 8 years ago. Playing this is like a time-capsule. They did make a smartphone page in April! This season in the top flight has basically been the story of my goalkeeper. 2 of my wins I didn't deserve but basically stole because Joost decided to become a brick wall. Spending 3 million on an intelligent/hard trainer goalkeeper like 6 seasons ago was the best purchase I've ever made. I had a brief chance to take the title but I tried to get really cute vs Nerds and it backfired hard. Might not have been winnable (my team is like... 1-2 skill lower than the best teams, so it would have taken sheer brilliance) but I got spanked. Unfortunately then I fell into mid-table purgatory and took a couple more Ls and my form crashed. At least I stole another win and can safely play my like... two good youth players again.

I have the unluckiest player. I have a 19/5 defender who was injured on 5/12 for 12 days. With that injury there was no chance of a double jump. He recovers after that and I was hoping for a positive DV. NOPE, he proceeds to get injured exactly one month later with another severe injury for 8 days with +1 DV. This is odd because I have a forward who is injury prone and hasn't had an injury.

getting 7 players and the manager into the Xpert Eleven is a pretty nice feeling, I confess Final game of the season is utterly irrelevant for the League of Lurkers, at least for promotion - Yee Valley wins, Coffee Beans place second, and that's pretty much that but considering I forgot about like 2 different games while on vacation this season, and was dirt poor because I accidentally adblocked all the money, I'm not gonna complain
