The entire game is about killing Ridley. The act of killing Ridley is so crucial that they put it on the box. You kill Ridley! You exposed Mother Brain to covid again! You have saved the day! And then... (is this the greatest example of 7/4 music?) When I first played Super Metroid, and got to the last battle - it was a combination of "gently caress yea!...oh c'mon...OH gently caress OFF...WHOA...oh no  ...IT'S ON BITCH...oh gently caress me the stress".If a boss battle can do all that, it's a good one.
