The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes, look for them behind words that have changed their meaning.
TFC's season has already been a black comedy, but "drawing a penalty and red card, then having that call reversed by VAR because your attackers are offside, then COMMITTING a red card foul at the other end so you have to play the second half a man down" has got to be the icing on that cake.

(of course since it's Miami, Toronto are looking like the better team and could well pull this out)
