Where's my cow?

Is that my cow?

No it isn't, but it still tramples my bloody lavender.
defra and the agencies they work through have a seemingly well earned reputation for largely ignoring massive agricultural firms and the litany of sins they commit in favour of going after people with little means to defend themselves, nice to see something contrary to that for once

lol at the idea of publicly threatening to shoot government employees and not getting arrested, being that rich must be a real trip

Man, a bunch of the food shops round my way are 50% empty shelves.

Not quite as much actual empty shelf percentage here but lots of the advert product replacement stuff and shelf after shelf 1 or 2 ranks deep of the same variety of soup

even the polski sklep, which is normally literally floorboard to rafters with stock

glad I refilled the brexit stockpile a bit after the covid shortages made me glad of having something to lean on a bit for that. probably a permanent household fixture now

First 2-3 seasons of the simpsons made them out as undeniably working class and struggling and there's a grittiness to things that works really well

I haven't watched it much for years but the peak for me remains you only move twice which is a few seasons later and past about season 10 I don't think there's any episode that sticks out for good reasons

Going back to camera chat a bit, phone cameras are pretty flipping good but often leave me wanting a big ol' lens for optical zoom

fahrenheit's goal wasn't especially trying to make up a whole competing temperature scale, but making a far more accurate/sensitive kind of thermometer than anyone had managed before and the scale just kind of came with it

the reason 0f is at a weird place is that it's the temperature of ice water reacting with salt which was both the coldest thing going at the time and also made for reasonably easy calibration

you can use the same trick to get some refreshing tins from room temperature to megafrosty in a few minutes

the best thing that happened for my current medical treatment was lucking into a decent gp who not only put in some obvious time learning about my condition/medical history/treatment but also chased down what was happening with my referrals to specialists when nothing was happening with them and I had pretty much no means of finding out what was going on on

teslas are the ideal rich person car for looking flashy and costing a lot of money for bragging rights. When you actually get right up close and see the horrific panel gaps, the lovely paintwork, to push on bits of the interior and hear them creak etc you realise that people are paying out for the kind of build quality found in a 1983 vauxhall nova currently at the bottom of a manchester canal

then again the autopilot in them has sometimes decided acab and attacked police cars so maybe it's not all bad

I predict this is going to cause a wave of resignations among folk who probably should have already quit but it's not going to be enough to change anything other than accelerating the inevitable further consolidation of power by the right

and we will get a handful of socialist labour mp's tutting and moaning about it but if they haven't done owt other than tut and moan about all the other poo poo what are they actually good for?

The cackhandedness of the actual implementation never ceases to amaze but anyone not seeing this coming after the continued protection and coddling of duffield et al wasn't seeing the woods for the trees

labour have been dead for near 2 years and the stench is getting real bad
