Insider trading in the days before 9/11 suggests some powerful people had knowledge that something was about to go down I haven't heard of this and all I could find in a few minutes of searching was this very old snopes article, but in general "<number> of papers in peer-reviewed journals confirm this" is a pretty big red flag for someone misrepresenting what the papers say.
