There was a crime show in the early aughts where the lab technician character was a quirky hot topic goth who got high on sugar, and I could not stand her. I'm glad quirky is dead.

I think anyone describing themselves as quirky is kind of lame because you pretty much know it is an act they're putting on in order to artificially create a personality. Really it's more depressing than anything else, because people shouldn't have to feel like they need to do that. Also, it reminds me of Kyrsten Sinema which makes me instantly enraged

What about people who actually are quirky though? Like a lot of people with zero personality who are into a bunch of stupid boring/lame poo poo have appropriated that word. Quirky is like someone who will go to the movies with you and get movie theater butter, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles on a hot dog and get the popcorn with extra butter so they can lube up and fist your rear end in a top hat in the bathroom. Like dance dance revolution is in the lobby but they wanna play frogger or tempest.
