In fact, they are terrified that one of the most feared vampires of the area has been roused back to life.

they do at first, but as you keep cutting yourself you get better at not doing it. Your mouth also builds up scar tissue which is harder to pierce the more you do end up piercing it. Don't forget Vampires are immortal so they have had hundreds of years to build up a strong mouth. This sounds like I'm trying to talk someone into getting a blowjob from a vampire

Bonaventure posted:https://abcnews.go.com/International/vampire-threat-terrorizes-serbian-village/story?id=17831327 You can tell ancient people were really terrified of vampires because people kept coming up with new weaknesses for them and new ways to kill them. Now fast forward to the modern era where it's not uncommon to find media featuring vampires who have a lot of their traditional weaknesses removed to the point where some vampires aren't even harmed by sunlight anymore.

The vampir or op'lentie is a shadow [but] if for various reasons a pl'tenik lives for six months, he grows bones, i.e., receives flesh and becomes a person, as he was before his death. The vampire now has only flesh and skin and does not have bones and nails. His bones are cartilage. The vampire lives like a normal person, except that he flees to a far place, where they do not know him and do not recognize him, and there he engages in selling or a trade. He marries like other people and has children. [...] They are recognized by the fact that they are always without a nose and that their bodies are soft: when they walk they shake and sway.

I mean, you don't expect the vampire to go around with only one sock, do you?

I’m not one for remakes, but the 2011 Fright Night with Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin is surprisingly smart, fun, and faithful to the original 1985 movie without making GBS threads all over it while also trying a few new things. It even has a cameo by Chris Sarandon in a Jerry meets Jerry moment. I love it.
