They think she had a heart attack but they’re running tons of tests. She’s still unresponsive though so that’s not a good sign. I was going to drive the 11 hours home but as I was driving past the airport I figured I’d check for a flight and got one. I couldn’t book online so I naturally had to pay extra and the person got my last name and birthday wrong. I’m glad I didn’t try to go through security first. I have to sit here for a few hours but I’ll get there about 3 hours sooner. gently caress. That's horrible man.

We're also all getting older and after 30 our testosterone levels start going down. Get a blood test and see your GP or endocrinologist, see if you can't get a prescription for testosterone gel or shots.

boop the snoot posted:Why the gently caress does the highway patrol have a digital forensics unit jfc defund these fucks Sometimes Highway Patrol is also another name for State Police / State Troopers. All state level police agencies have investigators (detectives) and / or civilian support staff specialists that work on stuff dealing with computers, whether its normal poo poo like going through a murder suspect's hard drive or phone, or heinous poo poo like going through a pedo's hard drive or phone. Bag on regular cops all you want, but dealing with child abuse crimes is horrendous on people's mental health, and it's good that there are units investigating and prosecuting poo poo like that.

Well hey you might think, it’ll be tossed in court. Yeah, this is some hosed up poo poo. Investigators often use open source info for investigations - they'll pay websites for people's info, even if all they have is a name, or an address, a license plate, or phone number. It's legal for anyone to pay those kinds of websites to get that kind of info (except for the license plate stuff). That's normal every day poo poo that happens all the time. They also have pre-written forms to apply for warrants to phone companies, Google, Apple, or any provider - all they have to do is change / add a few things in the document. That I don't have a problem with, as long as they get a warrant. What I do have a problem with is them creating fake cell towers to ping someone's phone, doing Centra Spike / Grey Fox / ISA type poo poo in planes or cars like they're taking down Escobar or terrorists in Iraq. To me that's not a capability that police should have, unless there are very stringent controls and involves getting warrants, and even then, only in situations like kidnappings or violent offenses. And snapping up protester info shouldn't be allowed at all. Without restrictions, that's a slippery slope to further eroding our already eroded civil liberties. State, local, and even federal law enforcement agencies shouldn't have the capabilities of the NSA or ISA. Bored As Fuck fucked around with this message at 05:07 on Oct 20, 2021 |

facialimpediment posted:November 3rd is New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen on concealed carry in NY state, that's all the Supreme Court has currently agreed to hear on guns this term so far. The SC turned away a case about a felon complaining he couldn't have guns and got charged for having one (Wisconsin law) and a pile of others. No more have been docketed, even when Kavanaugh was yelling at the other justices about it, presumably about the constitutional right to shoot guns while drinking beer. NYC will still make it expensive and difficult, and most upstate counties that are may issue almost always give out unrestricted (CCW) permits. It's only the city and Long Island that are the big douchebags.

pantslesswithwolves posted:Last night, I was walking home with Apollo from hanging out with friends and crossing a quiet residential street in the crosswalk when two cars- one a cab- decided they didn't want to wait for someone to finish dropping their friend off so they swerved around and ran a stop sign, coming so close to hitting us that I was actually able to kick the side of the first car as it went by. Then I jumped back and yanked on Apollo's leash to avoid the cab, and the driver actually yelled "gently caress you cracker" at me as he went by. Putting aside the ridiculousness of someone using that term as an insult in TYOOL 2021, I've never been so loving angry in my life. If either driver had responded to me screaming "PULL OVER MOTHER FUCKER" I'm absolutely positive that I would have attacked them with anything I could have grabbed as a weapon, consequences be damned. I've never come so close to being killed by a car, and the callousness in how they did it was absolutely horrifying. I woke up angry this morning, which is a feeling that I hate. I hope that the next time either of those drivers gets behind the wheel, their trip ends in a single-car fireball at the end of a bridge abutment. In some areas there are now explicit orders that cops cannot pursue a vehicle either at all, or unless it is a murder or rape suspect. So rear end in a top hat criminals just speed away and get away with driving like a lunatic, because the cities passed those laws.
