Oh my gosh I love this game. The RF series is one of my favorites, and I know I played the heck out of this one. I forgot how bouncy the main theme is. I def never figured out the Runey mechanic when I was a kid, and I have strong opinions about one of Eunice’s side quests, but I won’t spoil it. If you haven’t already explained it, how are you playing the game? I sold my wii ages ago but if it’s on Switch I may have to buy it again  Also 99% sure I have/had the strategy guide for this one. I always bought them for the HM/RF games, as the art was so cute in them!

I played the hell out of this game and never figured out the Runeys. I think I just ignored them and spent most of my time in the dungeons. Good on you for trying to make it work! I did play enough to still hear the various sound bytes, especially “hey young man!” From Erik. This is making me want to figure out the emulator and play it again

I never gave magic a fair shake in this series as I always rolled with two-handed weapons for a high atk, low def build. So let’s go with Bush the Mage and go with staves!
