Yeah, even if the game turned out to be super deep and super fun, which sounds iffy according to this thread, I wouldn't be playing it frankly. 1) Covid, duh. I don't do FNM either and I know I enjoy that, compared to this unknown quantity. 2) If the game were fun, there wouldn't be all this sideshow about the finance and ginning up justification for itself. People would be talking about the decks, strategy, games, metagame, etc. It's very telling.

Fair amount of activity at the booth at eccc. The product looks even worse in person btw.

I mean why not? You print in batches, when your supply gets low you re-up. You're not literally printing some amount of every product at all times. Sure you're splitting your warehouse up in to smaller amounts of a larger variety of things but that's hardly existentially unmanageable. The printers don't care whether you're asking them to produce something that'a had 0 to 100 printings before.

Yeah agreed. The funny thing is there are even more frothy, obvious scam games, without the veneer of a halfhearted attempt at OP, balance etc out there. Like we've made fun of metazoo but there's something called Weiss Schwartz that is just anime foils and people have been pumpanddumping for years on it? Capitalism has just rotted everything of its potential for fun.
