Is anyone an avid Knotter? I'm an amateur knotter and I'm trying to advance my skills. So far my favorite every day knot is the square knot, so simplistic but such strong integrity. I've dappled in knoting fishing lines like the sknell knot! Square knot is a little favorite of mine for knoting two ropes together too. I'm such a girly girl (knot) that I had to watch YouTube videos on how to tie a bow to use around the boxes that I'm shipping my jewelry in. Pretty sure that means all knots are way beyond my skill. The useful videos did use the term "bunny ears."

The Palomar is fine for fishing but for an every day knot use you can't beat the figure eight. It can be a stopper or a bend and you can tie it in the bight.
