Also rough sex can be just as romantic as tender sex and the fact that people seem to believe high energy, ferocious sex is by definition more animalistic or something is utterly bogus. If both people are in control and respecting each other's boundaries then there's literally nothing that separates the two bar glamorized social depictions of what "making love" is, which ironically is something you can blame on films that attempt to mystify and sanitize sex. It's probably likely that non-hardcore and fictionalized depictions of sex have a greater negative effect because they also tend to visualize and depict the circumstances surrounding sex in an interpersonal sense and movies don't have a great track record with showing proper consent in those contexts (like the trope of the woman not being into a man forcefully kissing her at first but then acquiesces and consents, that's far more problematic than rough rutting).

My main objection to porn is the smacking around and choking and objectifying of women that is pretty common. I object to porn from the point of view of feminism, genuine feminism before they ruined the word. I was very fortunate and was able to pick my partners and live a pretty free sex life. I know this is gonna suck but I'm in the UK and I really dislike gypsys/travellers. I know this is because they're displaced people that we steamrolled in our traditional British imperialism but every time I've dealt with them they've been violent, abusive and destructive. I hate the way men treat their wives and children and the way they use kids to scam people. I don't want to tar a whole peoples with one brush but man do they make it hard not to.
