5. Xavier and Sebastian will not be working on The Curse of the Desert. They are both still working on our other game, Apocalypse World, so we apologize for not keeping you up to date on the development.

quote:

You press the button again and the text changes "Xavier and Sebastian will not be working on The Curse of the Desert. They are both still working on our other game, Apocalypse World, so we apologize for not keeping you up to date on the development." The last time you were in this cave, you were trapped in a coffin with Xavier And Sebastian, and now it seems like they have been kicked out of their team.

You have, unfortunately, been cast adrift.

You know you should feel sorry for the team, but you are just so sad. Maybe if they were dead you would be able to feel something, but they are just being kicked out.

But that’s not the worst part. It turns out, Sebastian did disappear, with no explanation.

To give you a bit of background, Sebastian is a demi-God. You know him. You live with him. He’s your brother. He was kidnapped by a dragon, who was going to use him as a sacrifice. Xavier and Sebastian teamed up with the Dragon’s followers to rescue him.

What kind of things can you, the lowly reader, do to help get Sebastian back to the team?

YOU could:
1.
Click the Google form below to join the discussion. Maybe there are some other stories out there that you could re-tell about your experience and try to solve the mystery.

2. Spread the word about the game. Make sure that you tell your friends about the game, the Kickstarter campaign, and about the fate of the missing demi-God.

3. Take this opportunity to write up a short report on the state of the team. Describe the people involved and what they are doing to help with the game and find Sebastian.

4. The pyramyd floor levels have a lot of opportunity for sneaking in, taking photos, eavesdropping, and following people around to see what they are doing.

5. In the desert where The Curse of the Desert is taking place, there are great economic opportunities to be had by anyone who has the intelligence and a bit of luck.

6. After the Scroll has left you, you push the red button again to deactivate the alarm.

Then you return to your previous hiding spot, and you peek out of the box at the author, who is hiding behind a rock.

“You want the truth?” The author asks.

quote:

YOU could explore The pyramyd floor levels since they have a lot of opportunity for sneaking in, taking photos, eavesdropping, and following people around to see what they are doing. You are not sure if this is something you would be good at, though - you take out your Journal from your backpack and you check your attributes on the Character Sheet:
- Wisdom 10

- Luck 6

- Charisma 6

- Intimidation 2

- Swim 0

- Athletics 0

- Endurance 9

- Health 10

- Stamina 15

- Stamina Recovery 10

The description for Intimidation reads:

Intimidates

-Summon Bones

Click on the corpses of people you pass to pull out your buffs - your greatest tool in manipulating the board. The more bones you have summoned, the better of a buff you will have.

With such a low Athletics and Swim scores, you should probably stay away from the water. Good thing your destination, the Great Pyramid, is in the middle of a desert. You make your way towards the Pyramyd:

The Great Pyramid is in the center of the Earth. It is made of stone that is 600 miles across, with mummies all over the place.

It is also packed with treasures!

Inside the pyramyd you fight a giant version of Sebastian, and you take it down:

Before you, is the great door.

You look at the side of it, and you see the words "The Curse of the Desert" carved into the door.

You raise the weapon in your hands to knock.

Then, YOU:
1.
Withdraw all money in your wallet to your Wallet

2. Press the button

3. Enter Sebastian’s Call Button

and the text changes to

"Not allowed to trade for the Great Pyramid".

4. You feel a bit stupid

5. You look at the doorway to see a sheet of paper

6. Press the button to see the Location

that says "Pyramid of the Great."

7. This is what it reads:

"Pyramid of the Great

- Enter within by the tabard found in the fourth layer

I believe this is what the kids these days call "minmaxing".

EDIT: also we may be able to raise our Athletics through the buff received with Summon Bones. After all the more bones you have summoned, the better of a buff you will have.

7. This is what it reads:

"Pyramid of the Great

- Enter within by the tabard found in the fourth layer

- Code 1-9-14-15-22-24-32-39-49-60-70-80-90-92-94-96-00-01

quote:

Before entering the code, you cast SUMMON BONES. You click on the corpse of the doctor to pull out your buff. It is only the first BONES you have summoned so the buff is really small:

You find a body next to Sebastian, and you conjure the bones with the strange magic word on your now glowing Journal. Sebastian responds:

[Wisdom]

[Determination]

[Desperation]

[Honor]

You hear. You lower the weapon and cross out the last two letters of the code and select

EITHER "ASYMTEEN" OR "PHEMYD."

In the code field you type the letters "ASYMTEEN". A small boulder is placed on top of the door, the first "ASYMTEEN" glyph turns grey, and the next one turns blue, so you know you found the right glyph.

There are no more stairs, only the tiling floor and the pyramids arching roof.

You pick up Sebastian. He’s actually kind of heavy, but you have a backpack with a few supplies in it, so it’s ok.

You pick up the sabre you’ve seen a few times before, and you take out your water bottle, and your map, your journal, and your stuffed elephant:

You walk down the stair to the Great Pyramid, following a path laid into the marble floor. You go under the arch.

Then, YOU:
1.
Enter the code

2. Call for a Dragon

3. Enter the code

4. Become a God

I would say that you should try to be somewhat sneaky in the case of number four, but you’re kind of new to this stuff, so don’t be too afraid. Either way, the Great Pyramid is the ultimate authority, so you probably want to do what they say.

5. It is time for another battle! Oh dear, they are raising their shields.

6. The Great Pyramid now absorbs their pain. You have been issued a pith helmet and you keep that on during the fight.

7. You are using “ASMTEEN”

8. You cannot hide your very existence.
