THE ALL-POSTERS ASSEMBLY OF CSPAM, represented therein by this Idiot King, ACCUSES forums user "Dolphin" of counter-revolutionary sentiment (by denouncing vegetarians as liberals) and improper shitposting standards. Let's proceed. Dolphin posted:the most viable method of farming that eschews reliance on a currently insurmountable task, the seizing of the means of production, is subsistence farming, and pastoralism. individual subsistence farmers do not have the land nor means to participate in agriculture at a scale necessary to sustain the entire population of the proletariat, so refusing to consume a cow's butthole makes you more in common with the bourgeois. An argument from the life of a subsistence rancher! True, one of the harshest conditions there is; living off the marginal soil, poor pastures and barely viable drylands. The cow's butthole was a fine flourish. Dolphin posted:no, much of the earth is not able to be farmed and is only viable for grazing. many of the crops necessary to support veganism and vegetarianism can only be farmed at an industrial scale. If we are talking about the cash crop exports such as kale, quinoa and other fancy ones like that, this does hold some weight. However, what about beans? The hardy chickpea, staple of the Middle East for millenia; the reliable lentil, with other thousands of years of consumption in India; the soybean of East Asia; the black beans of South America? Or what about the quintessential and all reliable rice, cornerstone of so many world cuisines since ancient times? Dolphin posted:they eat milk day to day. most pastoralists do not specifically keep cows for meat, they keep them for meat, hides, dairy, horns, everything. you don't need as many males so typically the males get slaughtered when they come of age. Dolphin posted:in many areas of the world vegetarianism is literally impossible. in areas of kenya in the 90s pastoralists were convinced by western missionaries to abandon their cattle goats and camels in favor of tilling and planting. then the droughts came and they starved. such is the way of the west. An important consideration that shows how different our contexts can be in our shared struggle for socialism worldwide. We truly appreciate your sober, educative collaborations in this topic. However... Judakel posted:also i find it very odd that you wrote about how insurmountable the task of seizing the means of production was when the task asked you explain why it was incompatible with socialism That is, indeed, a tangent from our issued point. While we do understand the point of your association, it did deviate from what was asked. Dolphin posted:an individual can not seize production while eating his masters food for the same reason he cannot bind the masters hands with his own shackles. but he can engage in microeconomies that liberate him from the bonds of capitalism, and allowing him to engage in revolutionary activities like seizing the means of production. The humble rice farmer in Southeast Asia or the potato farmers of the Andes who have formed so many revolutionary volunteers did not prove their capability to do so? --- With proper thought given to the points raised, we must painfully state that forums user Dolphin has not provided a sufficient argument to demonstrate that socialism and vegetarianism are incompatible. Although our zeal burns bright, it is with a grieving, heavy heart that we declare your post sucks fetid rotten rear end, op. While your gigantic double bacon wrapped burger pic did elicit a lmao, it was outside your allotment of time. May your sentence be swift and your posting improved.

Pretty sure this model of pastoral, sustainable anprim meat production that uses no purpose-grown grain would result in way more vegetarianism than we have now by virtue of even 73% ground beef going up to like $15/pound, so I support it Dolphin you should post about it in the anarchism thread

Dolphin's point here I think was that 'solidarity' is just a slogan unless it is extended to its fullest So too in our current movement with 'eat the rich'. And what is richness if not experience? Why limit ourselves to the wealthy? Comrades, everyone can be satisfied here. I propose that all humans who reach 55 promptly get turned into burgers and bacon for wrapping around Mac n cheese patties.
