Oh, and we were yakking about QB grades from PFF yesterday, so here's DYAR: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/quick-reads/2021/how-mac-jones-became-best-qb-2021-draft

Article has a long rundown of how the rookies are doing so far but top 10 for DYAR for what is a terrible week for QB's apparently:

139 - Jimmy G
123 - Matthew Stafford
116 - Mike White
75 - Tom Brady
50 - Cooper Rush / Aaron Rodgers
47 - Baker Mayfield
42 - Josh Allen
38 - Jalen Hurts
37 - Davis Mills / Ben Roethlisberger

Heard some analysis on I think the Athletic show where basically Baker is terrible at throwing over the middle, which is where OBJ feasts, he's much better at throwing contested sideline shots.

So as a solutions orientated person, do I have a deal for the Browns. We'll take your stinky ol' OBJ for one new in wrapper N'Keal Harry.

I suspect he's suspended / unavailable for this season, then he pleads out in the offseason, does not do jail time, and ends up suspended for like 4 games next year.

From what I understand of it, they got rid of their own and just literally use a special UBER service now.

The Rams have Aaron Donald who over the past 3 years has been the no doubt most valuable player in the league so like 20th overall behind 19 quarterbacks, and that can't last much longer, so they're trying to maximize their shots while they still have him as a destroyer of worlds.

Kalli

Yeah, but if Rodgers had used one of those, wouldn't the NFL reporters have said he was vaccinated?

Someone had to get confirmation from somewhere that Rodgers isn't, and I presume that had to be from the team I guess?

VVV well there we go, doing press conferences or standing on the sidelines without a mask doesn't sound like following protocols though

I dont know if anyone will take Odells contract as is, but if he clears waivers then a bunch of teams will kick the tires

It costs no draft capital it's just $8m in cap space this year and then if he doesn't perform, you cut him and lose nothing.

It's expensive and only 10 teams have that much space right now, but you're basically bringing in a guy who used to be great and is only 29. And if he does perform he'll be A) happy and B) under contract to you and you can work something out, a pretty good position to be in.

Teams that can afford him without futzing around with other player's contracts.

$28m Jags
$21m Eagles
$15.5m Broncos
$13.4m Seahawks
$11.8m Panthers
$11.4m Football Team
$11m Chargers
$10.8m Steelers
$9.7m Bengals
$9m Browns

Kalli
Jun 2, 2001

Yeah any Saints deal would require you to eat the contract (ala Von Miller's deal), so unless they're giving you a 2nd / 3rd for him, which why would the Saints do that? then it's not worth it.

Yeah, I posted a list yesterday of the 10 teams with the cap space to take him and none of them make much sense to grab a guy who's basically a lottery ticket to give you something this year and is then getting cut almost certainly:

Not a WR away:
$28m Jags
$21m Eagles
$15.5m Broncos
$13.4m Seahawks
$11.8m Panthers
$11.4m Football Team

WR ain't a huge need:
$11m Chargers
$10.8m Steelers
$9.7m Bengals

Lol:
$9m Browns

Another team could move money around to do it, but the question then becomes if Odell's worth it and welp
