Post-trade deadline everyone has to go through waivers. The pre-trade deadline rule is veterans with more than 4 accrued seasons would be released and not go on waivers.

Assuming he's released I think it's far more likely Beckham will pass through waivers unclaimed and sign for the vet minimum (Saints, etc) than teams clamoring with their waiver position for him.
