I think it'll transfer your saves but you have to redownload games with every new console even if you have the means to transfer them between the SD cards, your new switch will not read the games themselves since they come from your old switch. From what I recall I did the transfer, then went ahead and manually redownloaded every single game again. I think you may also have to manually transfer screenshots. So really the hardware transfer is more of an account transfer kind of thing but it does keep your saves

Well I'm stupid Forgot I hadn't saved in smtv after the first boss and got wiped out by a stupid low level mob. Very true, I think the tight and punishing action renaissance it brought on is only one flavor of peak gaming experiences. If you're into that specific experience though, god drat they are so many good games to play right now. I'm currently having my face melted off by nioh 2, I got back into it now that there's that PS5 patch But yeah I like me some open world chill experiences as much as the next guy too. Botw owns

I guess I could see it maybe in the sense that I would feel like I cheated myself out of the experience of having to learn n master a boss before I get rewarded with more increasingly challenging content with new art assets. But that's only if you specifically care about getting gud. I think I tried to do completionist stuff once or twice during college and quickly realized that holy poo poo this is just as tedious and awful as my minimum wage kitchen job except I'm not getting paid. Also, there's no cute college girls to flirt with while I flip decent burgers and cook terrible pizza ( I had no control over the ingredients y'all) It's literal labor! More power to those who enjoy it, but no thank you. We are al doomed to work for substandard wages until the day we die in this capitalist hellscape I'm not working during my free time. The completionist literally gets paid probably much more than most of us and I do enjoy a video or two of his but what an absolutely miserable way to make a living E: Wonder if he ever outsources any of the actual gaming part to interns/employees and is more focused on content production. Like he's not actually picking up the controller and losing a thousand hours of his life on Hyrule warriors for one video is he? Lol dude genuinely thinks video games are more enriching/stimulating than books. There's a reason video games don't hurt to play, whereas books can be a chore or challenge, not much of a mental workout when it comes to video games. Play has its value when it comes to learning sure but for the most part you are getting absolutely nothing of substance from video games other than pure fun/ relax dumb brain time. Cognitively speaking, there are very very different things going on when you read a book versus when you play a video game. This isn't some smug attempt to slam video games or anything. I love wasting time on games, I'm more making a point about the physiology behind reading a book. Tbh I've read maybe three books over the last few years n have maybe played hundreds of different video game titles? That's because I'm lazy and love to have fun during my free time Of course we all know that posting on the forums is the most detrimental activity to cognitive growth, this has been backed by decades of research

I really need to get back to beating persona's little brother soon, got to the second main area boss and got distracted with other stuff. I'm really loving it but god those graphics bum me out man especially since the game has such a strong art direction/atmosphere I'm also playing nioh 2 on my PS5 which is also all sorts of fun demon murdering action, it's extremely rough going from that to SMT 5, not expecting PS4 visuals but SMTV seems rough even for a switch game. Come on guys. It has like one game I am loving catching up on my PS4 library with mostly consistent performance upgrades across the board though, Nioh 2 ps5 is so loving good probably the most intense rewarding action game I've ever played. I'm using a crappy 300 dollar tcl and am constantly shocked at how good my games look even on my wal Mart rear end tv, might have to treat myself to an OLED tv this xmas

I consider returnal the first true PS5 / next gen game and it's incredibly good for people who enjoy rogue lites. There's quite a bit of metroid and mega man DNA in there too, so I think it'd be pretty popular with the switch crowd. As for Atlus RPGs yah no idea why they haven't drowned the eShop with lazy ports, they were pretty active with the Nintendo DS /3DS. I would pay full price for most of their catalog those bastards know I would Plus didn't smtv end up breaking sales records for the franchise and nocturne sold pretty well? It's so good, tough space woman having to survive a hostile nightmare alien environment is extremely Metroid, as is the running around collecting resources as you prep for that biome's boss You feel so agile too, when you have your full tool set, it plays exactly how my dream Mega Man X4/Zero game but made with 2021 graphical fidelity standards and 3d would play. I thought Undertale was cool and I really liked the bullet hell turn based battle system hybrid, makes me wonder why more turn-based RPGs don't get playful like this and blend in other genres Also, I think I paid like $20 for it so I thought it was really good for its price. Definitely trying hard to be quirky but with such great art and music, I think it gets a pass. Anyways, I got around 12 hours of gameplay out of it and really enjoyed my playthrough. The weirdos who are really into it make me uncomfortable though, and I haven't thought of the game much since then. Still, I think it's status as a classic is justified even if it's not your cup of tea The music was so good!

Man I enjoy watching Scott the Woz videos because I think the guy has interesting commentary when it comes to video games, but the comedy is pretty bad. It's weird how much he leans into it, more power to him for doing what he wants but it's just so...blah and gets in the way of the video game chat Maybe it's just a group of buddies having fun but his friends are lame and always seem to get a ton of screen time Well that's me complaining about free internet content, got to get back to work I guess
