Persona 5 has an absolutely electric opening act powered by what feels like real outrage at sexual predators and other systemic injustice that's only slightly undercut by the game inviting you to leer at Ann's catsuit.

Then it proceeds to spend dozens of hours saying nothing of substance, reveling in homophobic and sexist tropes and humor, and turning every character into extreme exaggerations of their most obnoxious qualities.

Royal has a really good postscript but it also doesn't have anything real to say about the world, it's just got better character writing than the middle 6/7ths.

The phantom thieves should have been antifa communists is what I'm saying.

What has actually happened here is that Panda Global sicced Nintendo on one of their competitors in order to monopolize high-scale competitve Smash Bros. This has nothing to do with "brand integrity" and absolutely nothing to do with abuse and safety issues that the community has spent the past several years addressing. This is a venture capital-funded organization using Nintendo's dipshit lawyers as a blunt club to bankrupt the competition and it's extremely bad news.

No, I looked and it was Maximum Velocity. There used to be a way to get a code to unlock the fastest racer but Nintendo has stopped generating codes, according to the GameFAQs thing I checked.

My impossible dream purchase is an F-Zero AX cabinet.

I've never got to experience one, and it's the only arcade game I'd ever want to try besides maaaaaybe the Theatrhythm one (which is redundant now anyway but still).

If you didn't know, there's ways to play AX at home with varying degrees of fidelity. You can run Triforce ROMs like AX through Nintendon't on real Wii U hardware, or use Action Replay codes to reconstruct AX within GX.

Nintendont also works on the Wii, not just the Wii U, it would appear.
