Neddy Seagoon posted:General side-note, but I really wish Super Mario RPG had an option for an isometric control scheme (eg; Diagonal-right is "up") for some of the platforming. The original has that control scheme. The remake moves Mario in the direction you press on the stick or pad. Mrs. Rainbowbeard refused to play the original because of this. It was never a big deal to me, but she's giving the remake a shot because it doesn't control like the original.

I found Mario Wonder to be pretty drat fun, and easy enough up to a certain point. But I'm not a Mario Maker addict so YMMV. I can see how one could get burnt out on Mario but it's like Vitamin A poisoning, you can only eat so many carrots.

Looking forward to the Princess Peach game, as is my daughter. Likely A Good Game for the Nintendo Switch: the Family Gaming Console For Families And Children.

Didn't that GBA F-Zero game have a bunch of, uh, land spaceships that you had to unlock via different ways such as showing up to a physical kiosk for a code? I wanna remember being frustrated by that back in the day.

Larryb posted:Was that the one that was loosely based on the anime series? No, I looked and it was Maximum Velocity. There used to be a way to get a code to unlock the fastest racer but Nintendo has stopped generating codes, according to the GameFAQs thing I checked.
