My genre's thriller... What's yours?
I liked ff16, I don’t know, FF games are always easy, sometimes it’s using the card convert system in ff8 and sometimes it’s sending entire packs of mobs flying helplessly into a fire tornado while raining earth fists down upon them. It can be fun sometimes to just absolutely clown on enemies even if it isn’t a big achievement.

Plowing through restaurant dining areas on a Segway as cloud strife while the EN voice for dimple from mob psycho screams at me from every corner NPC feels like a fever dream.

I feel like time will be kind to ff16 because most people playing it 3 years from now will be doing it because it’s an FF game and who really expects difficulty in an FF game? Like some FFs you break with math, some with playing cards and some with instantly flinging your enemies into a fire tornado then shooting mega flare into the tornado. My only real complaint is I feel like the villain was kind of a dud which hurt the final act.

To quote myself in another thread,

There's a lot of really iconic tracks from FFXIV, many of them vocal and used in big boss fights and dramatic moments, but there's so many of them that a lot of great area themes can get a little overshadowed.

Yeah, I’ll sometimes leave A Mother’s Pride, the Yanxia night theme on repeat for a long time, especially during bad weather/ snow.

I will defend chrono cross’ choice to have a masked wrestler priest in your party to the grave. Some of the others can go.
