The sheer variety of characters in FFIX is something I appreciate now when everything is just "Human" and "Human with bunny ears and a shapely rear end" Everyone is just so weird in 9, including the humans.

There's a whole sidequest chain involving getting aliens addicted to pizza, the game is fascinated with the running gag of cooking and eating the obnoxious Nopon sidekick, you're given three extra party slots with like twenty characters to choose from yet have to have two specific characters with you for 90% of quests, and there's literally a character named Murderess whose hobby is murdering people. It also has a delightfully crazy OST. It may be the best but apparently isn't worth finishing an LP over
