Resurrecting this thread for the news that a Swiss newspaper reports Qatar's intelligence operatives (including former CIA agents apparently) wiretapped meetings between Infantino and the Attorney General of Switzerland, who was conducting investigations into FIFA corruption at the time. Supposedly, the plan was to accumulate blackmail material against the Attorney General to make him drop the investigations, or even cultivate him as an intelligence asset to put pressure on FIFA not to take away the World Cup.
